An old school delicatesin style bakery. It's definitely got some Italian recipes and flavor! Nothing over the top or extraordinary, but everything of quality, which is rare these days! If you're in Ipanema I'd definitely add this place to your lunch list and go grab a spot to sit at General Osório.
The prices are not the cheapest but, Ipanema right? And I can say it's quality food/ desserts.
The lasagna is heavy but most definitely delicious. And worth the price. Is it like my italian family, nope its not but still can taste the quality of the ingredients etc. Definitely recommend.
The little pizzas they have.... If you're in new york city, you might get smacked in the face for calling it a pizza. But if we're talking about Rio, this is probably better than most of the terrible pizza you find in this city! A really good and fresh marinara sauce, a little bit of oregano and an extremely light and fluffy bread. I ate three. 😋
They also have fresh pastas and raviolis made in house. I have not had them, but they do look very good. So this is something I will most definitely go back for!
Their sweets and cookies are unbelievable. Truly delicious and reminds me of the bakeries in NY. It's not overly sweet like you see in many brazilian desserts. The quality is on par with the price, definitely can get the puff pastry!
If you have time, please add this place to your list. I would really recommend it! Best quality and fast Italian lunch spot/bakery in...

They loved everything we got: the mini pizzas were delicious and right off the oven. We also got Fettuccini, Gnocchi and Ricotta Ravioli, two types of sauce (creamy white and Sugo, which is red and does not contain any meat). The Parmesan cheese was very tasty and smooth. We also indulged in a delicious Portuguese dessert called Fios de Ovos (referred to as Angel Hair,...
Read moreBest well-kept secret in Ipanema. With over 40 years of history, this tiny store produces some of the best fresh pasta in town, as well as great sweets, cookies and cakes. While there are no tables - hence it's not technically a restaurant - there are many options for a quick lunch standing at a desk. Pro tip, order two mini-pizzas just out of the oven with a terrific tomato sauce, grab a cup of Mate...
