Maria Açaí Urca — Restaurant in Região Geográfica Imediata do Rio de Janeiro

I went here one afternoon while I was exploring Urca neighborhood on foot. The staff were very friendly and tried their best to talk to a foreigner like me.

Just take note, their açai bowl here is the dessert type that you could choose to add some toppings such as fruits, brownies and other sweets, therefore it’s more on the sweeter side. I prefer my açai bowl with less sugar and a bit bitter like how Paranense restaurants do it.

Also, they don’t have a restroom but there’s a bakery next door...

Good açaí as every Maria Açaí, however the service is extremely bad, they were complaining all the time, they said they will close soon and we wouldn’t be able to have our açaí in the place but it was more than an hour left before the closing time. It seems we are begging them to make the service for us… I don’t recommend this place at...

Staff is really not welcoming, almost as if you were bothering them. And they are not generous at all on the quantity of toppings. The 3 stars are only for the quality...
