As an ardent supporter of Indian cuisine, I will often sample restaurants around the world. Indian food can easily be done wrong however Mandar and his team have created an establishment to rival any globally. We were welcomed by Mandar warmly and I enjoyed talking to him about his home town of Mumbai as well as learning about the proprietors reasons for opening the Culinaria Indiana here in Brazil. These people are passionate about high quality Indian Cuisine. We were almost immediately served poppodoms with a pickle tray, make sure to try the hot dip which has some real wheels, if I’m being pedantic I would have loved to see some Lime pickle served however the tray provided worked well. Read moreThe food was unimpressive lacking good flavors and a touch dry. The naan bread that came with the executive menu must have been from yesterday. I ordered an extra naan and that seemed like it was made right there and then. Service was a little grumpy, not impressed. This was the first time in this restaurant as we were close buy. Tried a number of Indian Restaurants in Sao Paulo and generally they have been good. This restaurant was not impressive and I would not go back.
PS Two people ate at the restaurant and I took a takeaway for a 3rd person. Come evening time, after not having eaten anything else anymore, we all started with diarrhea. Not...
