update came back 2 years later, got the lamb sausage, fries and marrones (pepper with egg/cheese), choppe lager. It was all very fantastic. My friend is a super gringo and when they found out it got very awkward again. 😂 The first time, I got a jalapeño gorgonzola burger with fries and a beer. The fries were amazing, and there were so many I just left the rest. The burger was good, cooked Argentinian style rare 😆. The bread/bun was good, but I felt it needed it would have been nicer if it was a bit larger, although they do double burgers and next time I think I'll order lettuce/tomato. I'm not so sure I liked the Jalapeños raw... It had like 3-4 slices on it. I think I would have rather of had them cooked a tiny bit and or diced up? The spicy wasn't evenly distributed... It was like... Mild then really hot 🥵, but I am a lightweight with pepper. Anyway good experience, but ideally... Seat yourself, get the menu it's too long, read and hope for service. This most recent time I went the service was much better. I'm glad to see the...
Read moreFOOD: Their signature fries and sauce were quite tasty. I wanted more. As a burger lover, it was interesting to try a burger cooked rare (they won’t do it any other way as I was nicely told beforehand). I got the Cheddar Bacon Chimichurri Burger and it was pretty good with no complaints from me on the patty being cooked rare. Made it more juicy in a unique way. Do I prefer the patty cooked that way? Probably not. I’d prefer medium rare still for a patty as thick as theirs. But I still enjoyed eating it in like a couple minutes. The price for it was more than reasonable as well.
SERVICE: No issues at all. The waiters were approachable and helpful even if I didn’t speak Portuguese. They tried their best to communicate as much as I did and that’s all I could ask for. There was not one moment I felt like I was not welcomed. And based on other tables, they were on top of everything.
ATMOSPHERE: I went there at night and it was lively. That in itself is already enough reason to check...
Read moreMeat. That is the focus for Underdog Meats & Beers. Excellent cuts, no nonsense and zero disposition to accommodate frills or requests for well done or crisp steaks. Gotta love the place. Trust the grill master and you get their best dishes. Friendly waiters, will tell straight up what they like and what they don't like. Can be a little hectic but always in a good way. Happy attitudes. Let's fix the problems. Let's eat good meat.
Brunch: same as the above but with waffles and eggs Benedict. Cutoff time is 11:00. Be nice show common sense and maybe cutoff time is whenever you are ordering pancakes!
Meat to go: across the street you get the meat to take home and do your own BBQ. Top quality. Staff hops from one side of the street to the other. Adjusting where needed. Personally recommend the Flat Iron and the...
