Consulado Mineiro: Feijoada, Carne de Sol, Feijão Tropeiro, Delivery SP — Restaurant in Região Imediata de São Paulo

The restaurant was ok. We went there on a Saturday night. Most of the tables were occupied but it wasn't packed. The decor was typical Mineiro style (stucco walls painted in yellow, tile floors and simple wooden furniture). The dress code is totally relaxed and long tables for the whole family and friends are common. We ordered Tutu à Mineira which was offered as a two person plate (to share). The dish is made up of Lombo, tutu, couve, torresmo e arroz (Pork loin; mashed beans; cabbage; crackling; rice). I really like this meal but in this case it felt like it was not fresh from the oven. The meat was overcooked and a little dry. Besides that it was as good as it should be. Even though we did not asked for cachaça they have a huge selection of brands from Mina Gerais. For dessert we had a mix of goiabada, grilled cheese and icecream which was not included in the menu. It was Awesome!!...

Delicious, hearty meal of mineiro food. Reminded me of sitting at a table with family, enjoying a homemade meal. Drinks were excellent as well - had a caipirinha as well as a chopp. Both very tasty.

Service was good here, especially because we ended up adding some friends unexpectedly during the course of our meal. The waiters were all very gracious and helped move us to a table to accommodate us as quickly as possible.

Definitely a bit busy here when we went. If you’re concerned about waiting, I would consider calling ahead or trying to make a reservation.

Overall, an enjoyable place that kind of feels a bit like home.

Brasileirissima Caipirinha became my favourite caipirinha (mix of lemon, tangerine, pineapple and passion fruit). We were not very hungry so he recommended we order half of the Tutu Especial - it was a good amount of food and we left satisfied. And yes, it helped us to try the best desserts.

They were heavenly - 😋 Must have - Ambrosio and Romeu e Julieta
