Greek Restaurant KUMBARE — Restaurant in Sofia City

Very disappointing experience yesterday. I used to like this restaurant and used to frequent the previous location in the city centre. Yesterday was the first time when I tried to visit the new location in Boyana. I have always enjoyed the food here and was looking forward to trying the new location, as I heard they kept the old menu and the quality of the food the same.

I had booked a table for dinner over the phone several hours before coming to the restaurant. Even before entering the restaurant we could hear VERY LOUD live music from the inside. It was obviously impossible to have normal casual dinner with that level of noise, as it wasn't possible to have a normal conversation. I walked in to tell the waiter that I will not be using my booked table and asked why was I not informed about this event when I booked the table over the phone earlier.

The waiter apologised and told me that they were not aware that there would be live music in the restaurant that evening, as some guests just decided to casually bring musicians in (?!) And the restaurant management apparently agreed to this without having any consideration about the comfort of the other guests.

Severely disappointed in the level of service, I will not be visiting again and would not...

Good food and quality staff ✨️. Went to Kumbare with some friends and we all had a very pleasant time there. We were met by a friendly hosted and served by a very good professional throughout the night. They offer a lot of traditional greek and mediteranean dishes, all of which were very tasty - don't miss on the apetizers and gyro bread! A well-positioned restaurant offering good food and views on the skyline of Sofia. This place almost transports you to Greece, especially on a sunny summer day. The staff is friendly, helpful, and kind. The service is very prompt and efficient. The food is delicious. There is a playroom at the restaurant, which will be appreciated by families with young children. It is certainly a place to visit...
