Rose restaurant — Restaurant in Sofia City

Well the restaurant location is not of its best qualities. Situated literally on the ring highway it is distant from the city center and most of the other neighborhoods of the Capital. However it is easily accessible via bul. Bulgaria and the ring highway. Let's not forget the private parking for visitors is a nice addition and I like it. It is quite essential for a place of this class.

Rosé is a choice for me only for the warm spring and summer nights when you can enjoy your stay on open air in the outside and listen to calm piano and violin music played live. Hopefully the relaxing atmosphere won't be disrupted by loud company on the next table or a show off with expensive car in the parking, both of which happen from time to time.

The menu is suitable for gourmet restaurant without being too pretentious. As you can expect from Italian restaurant of this class the menu offers fine Mediterranean cuisine. Serving appetizer would complete the experience so hope they start doing this soon. Some of the dishes can even pretend for some exclusivity. A medium list of local and imported wines is offered and properly served when ordered. Prices are mid range only wines are overpriced.

Service and waiters are of class but at least for me they don't create warm and friendly feeling. Sometimes this makes me feel discomfort, but as I said this is...

I have been a regular in this "used to be" amazing establishment. Today was probably my 15-20th time since October. (5 months) It had been great prices and good food in good sizes. The owner and main server is amazing!

But today and last time, prices rising a lot. Didn't feel it much last time as I got extra service as a regular. But today. Food was reasonable, the server was pushing and destroying the atmosphere. 47 BGN per dish and I'm really hungry. I have paid 30% more than normal, I'm unsatisfied, and hungry. The "reserve" Server destroyed my last visit.

I hope they go back to what...

One of the best restaurants in Sofia! Always perfect and flawless. Michael the owner is always there with a smile making me feel as I am guest in his home :) If you want to remember Sofia and wish to go back..., visit Rose...
