Curry Pot TTP — Restaurant in Khan Chamkar Mon

The best indian and Nepalese restaurant in Phnom Penh. Located in a nice and calm area where there is a fusion of foreigners and locals. I visited it the first time alone and as a woman got very much respected by the staff and the owner who is Nepalese. The place is clean and the atmosphere is chilled. The food is very hygenic and tasty. Then, I came after with some friends. Again another night with some family friends. Sipping some masala tea and taking some butter naan with chicken biryani was worth every penny. I really recommend this place either for first time doubters about Indian and Nepalese food but also for experienced mouths. The chefs are professional and the service is quick. Also food delivery is quick and efficient. Gotta come here and try...

Fair price, quiet, good service, quality rice, chillies not overdone, eating area clean, dal not thin or oily. Only 'complaint' is ordering black masala tea the spices were weak. And I question the claim that the dal is masoor (rather than mixed with toor and moong). I could be wrong, but I was expecting a more orange colour.

Context: I am a health-conscious vegetarian who has spent a total of 2 years in India and Nepal. So, I know what is good South Asian food.

I will return, especially since tea is only one dollar and no one objected to my bringing my own jumbo amounts of cilantro to add to the miniscule amount on the dal (they use it as a garnish, myself I use it as an added raw vegetable).

No real complaints....

Nice place, very clean newly opened. Good food and service, staff very nice and welcoming. We called for the special day time menu served dishes upto 3pm, wasn't disappointed, it depends on your appetite, we ordered two Currys, but too be honest one to share would have been more appropriate with nan bread and rice. I recommend the lassi too, very good and a good price compared to the other restaurant's in the city. Hope the very best for this restaurant, and hope that they can keep the price down for the customer. I do recommend this place for the excellent service and good taste of the food. Atmosphere of the place is excellent, being very relaxed and no pressure...
