Kinin is a standout gem in Phnom Penh, offering a perfect combination of style, comfort, and exceptional food. From the moment you step in, the super friendly and attentive staff make you feel welcome. They go above and beyond, offering thoughtful recommendations and helpful tips if you ask, without ever being pushy.
The food is a highlight—authentic, organic, and delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for something traditional or need a vegan option, Kinin has you covered (their tempeh is a must-try!). Best of all, you get all this quality at an incredibly reasonable price: dishes range from just 4 to 6 euros, making it a fantastic value for such a high-caliber dining experience.
The restaurant’s design is just as impressive as the menu. With lots of greenery and dark wood accents, the space feels modern, stylish, and serene—a true escape from the bustling chaos of the city. It’s a place where you can relax and enjoy without distractions. Unlike many other spots in Phnom Penh, no one here is trying to sell you anything or hassle you.
If you’re looking for amazing food, a warm atmosphere, and genuine hospitality, Kinin is the place to go. It’s a slice of calm and quality in a city that’s full of...
Read moreThis restaurant is a stroke of genius! The menu is refreshing and exciting every time, I still have not ordered everything that interests me, we have been 3 times. Standouts were the Beef Wellington (Christmas Menu), the Pork Belly and slow cooked pork in a pot. I also enjoyed the fresh vegetables and salads.
They have very fresh and tasty cocktails, wine, unique beer options served in chilled glasses. Everything feels quality from the tableware to the décor. Coming from working in a Michelin star restaurant in the US I can say the standard of service and food here is to be experienced.
I see some reviews complaining about under or over seasoned food but I want to get flavor I wouldn't achieve at home and I do here. Its a menu ideal for both foodies and health focused eaters. Also worth noting is this neighborhood has many great restaurants and little bars so we like to come here and walk around, make it a night out.
In a city like Phnom Penh this restaurant sets itself far apart from the pack and is the leading edge of the budding food scene here. I'll be back many times and I'm also excited to try the other 2 restaurants by the same ownership group. Well done...
Read moreWOW!!! Just WOW!!! Amazing atmosphere. Outdoor seating, very green, fairy lights and good ambient music. Boi was an AMAZING server. We were so taken care of and got the most incredible recommendations!
The wine was the New Zealand White Wine and it was perfect. They gave a good bucket to chill. Then we got the Pomelo, Hibiscus and Classic Margarita. On Saturdays, they have a margarita happy hour where they are all $3.5. They were all great, but note that the Hibiscus is quite sweet.
For an appetizer we had the drunk tofu. Omg!!!!!!! Amazing!!!!! Top 3 tofu of my life. Crisp was perfect, delicate flavour and after taste, and the spicy plum sauce…. Could not get enough.
For main courses we tried the sesame fish and the duck. Both exceptional. Very very fresh and flavourful and a great portion size for the price. Seriously satisfied.
For dessert we went with the walnut brownie with jasmine ice cream; HOLY MOLY THIS WAS EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! The combination was spectacular. My only wish is for more ice cream (about a 1:1 ratio). We also tried the pepper chocolate ice cream (fabulous) and the chocolate orange mousse.
I am so happy about this restaurant....
