The hostel looked amazing from the outside, right on the beach front plenty of places to sit. However, as soon as you went inside your room it was clear they only cared about how it looked from the outside. Dorms issues room was never cleaned so was filthy no lock on doors and only 4 lockers for a 6 bed dorm friends had bed bugs and the receptionist resolution was to move them into a different bed in the same dorm. Then an hour later some poor other traveller was put in the bed bugs bed ….. -If the door was left open for more then 10 seconds loads of flys and mosquitoes would come in -sand absolutely every where ac was leaking and nearly broke- however was fixed and dealt with very quickly. the workers didn’t have a toilet in their room so would come in and use ours at random times. Bit odd. WiFi didn’t work
Bathroom issues- Water was yellow out the tap (when it worked as the water and electric cut out at least once a day) the door was broken so had to be slammed shut which would wake everyone up in the night never cleaned so bin was full which started to create a smell NEVER any toilet paper ( I had to ask every day or just help myself to the cleaning cupboard)
The cleaners may as well be called gardeners as all the did was sweep the leaves. They did managed to miss broken glass in the sand which nearly sliced my friends foot open though. Was very impressed to see the dead cat was removed within 24 hours which was outside our dorm. Thought if it was anything like the room it would be left there for 4 days. Would only come in and change the bed when someone left and maybe empty the bin next to the door if you were lucky… (not even sure if they ever cleaned the sheets as has a weird smell)
The food and outside was lovely and was a good location. But that lack of attention to the dorms was ridiculous. Maybe in the bungalows it would be cleaner, I’m guessing it’s the hostels main focus from reading these 5 star reviews. Unfortunately can’t say we had the same experience. 2 nights max would be plenty...

From the moment we arrived, things were a mess. Our booking was cancelled without notice because we arrived a day later than planned — even though we did message them the day before to let them know. Their excuse? The staff member was hungover and lost their phone, so they didn’t see our message. To top it off, they refused to refund our deposit.
The room was awful — AC barely worked, and there was a hole in the bathroom wall that opened into the kitchen, so the entire place constantly reeked. Online it says they offer free WiFi, but that’s only available at the beach — not in the rooms. So basically, you’ll have zero connection unless you’re sitting outside.
We ordered food at the restaurant and they completely forgot our order. When we asked what happened, they said their system was down and they couldn’t read their own handwriting. Totally unprofessional.
The worst part: a staff member walked into our room unannounced and used our shower — didn’t knock, didn’t ask. This happened twice. The second time, someone was using the bathroom, so they awkwardly backed out. Completely unacceptable.
We also gave them our laundry, and they just guessed a random price — no weighing, no receipt, no explanation. There's even a sign claiming rooms are cleaned three times a day… we stayed three nights, and not once did anyone clean the room.
Even something as simple as buying a water from the bar turned into a mess. We paid, then were told it actually cost more. The excuse? “Sorry, I’m hungover.”

Read moreWhile the location was nice the room, facilites and service were a mess. Upon arrival the door handle came off and the ac started leaking all over our stuff. There was no wall mount for the shower and the ventilation in the bathroom was an open hole in the room. This lead to a constant mosquito infestation, they would swarm the humid bathroom and as there were no mosquito nets we were bitten relentlessly. Furthermore the water frequently stopped working and when it did work it came out of the taps completely brown. One downside of the location is that the rooms and beds were constantly covered in sand, no matter how much you attempted to remove it before entering. Unlike our friends hostel where their dorms were constantly being cleaned, during our 5 night stay, our £45 a night room was not cleaned once. Our bungalow also had zero service and the wifi only works in the reception. I understand that all goods have to be imported as it is an island but many times 30 minutes after ordering food, we were informed that they didn’t have what we ordered. On top of this, food would take over an hour to be delivered, this included simple things like an iced coffee and considering the quality of the food was it was quite expensive. My friend ordered a bowl of noodles, watched them be taken out of the kitchen to where the servers pick it up and left for half an hour while it went cold and got covered in flies. The hostel is incredibly understaffed and the staff that are here seem to have no clue...
