So happy I decided to stop here for lunch. And even though I normally eat meat I decided to try one of many vegetarian dishes from the menu - and it was great! Vegetarian Laksa was so delicious - creamy broth, good noodles, and crunchy toppings like grilled mushrooms and baby corn, cucumber and beans sprouts. Ask for some extra chilli crispy chilli flakes - it was great addition. Next was - fried mushroom karaage. Crispy battered on king mushrooms, some rice, mayo (add that amazing chilli crisps) and pickled cucumber salad (such a simple but amazing addition - crunchy, juicy, slightly sweet and sour - makes the dish lighter). I also got some mixed fruit smoothie, and it was delicious too, not too sweet at all. Just remembered the portions are really generous, I would be more than happy just with one dish, but I have cleaned all the plates just because it was so delicious 😋 The owner and staff are extremely friendly. And the happy hour opinion is great - 3,5$ for 2 margaritas between 5-7pm. Just take your seat up front around 6pm a d enjoy your drink and sunset over the...
Read moreA great introduction to Cambodian cuisine!
We had just travelled down from Don Det in Laos to Kratie and were craving some good food, so we looked at google reviews and decided on this restaurant.
The restaurant building itself isn’t anything special, in fact we walked past it twice looking for it! Having said that, once we did find it and sat down, I felt very relaxed sitting outside just off the coast road, listening to what has to be said, a very good playlist!
I order the chicken Amok and my girlfriend ordered the beef Lok Lak, both were delicious for different reasons! My amok was creamy and cooked well, if I had any complaints it was that there wasn’t enough of it! I also quite like spicy food so could have been spicier for me but a small detail that wouldn’t suit everyone.
The Lok Lak was also very tasty - we felt like we’d had a perfect introduction to Cambodian food.
Would recommend a visit if you’re in the area looking for some authentic...
Read moreWe had the most wonderful time at the Mekong Mojo Restaurant & Bar. The food is outstanding. I guess we could describe it as a remarkable and brilliant mix of multiple genres of cuisine, smartly designed, and beautifully executed. Everything is there : the flavors, the textures, the smell, and most important of all, the simplicity and authenticity. Having such a great place to eat vegan in a small town like Krati feels definitely like a blessing. Julie is as kind and gentle as the most wonderful host would be. She provides all kinds of informations you might need, and advises you about just anything. The staff is wonderful, benevolent, patient and self driven. What else could somebody expect? I guess answering that question wouldn’t make any sense at all. We would definitely stop by if we were to go back to Cambodia, at least to say hello, because this place deserves it. Thanks again....
