Ordered side of grilled veggies. They were steamed! You can tell the difference when veggies are grilled or steamed. No grill marks, watery taste. Even when I brought it to stuff there she stated they grilled veggies but the dishes itself was proving otherwise. The choice of veggies was awful: broccoli, cauliflower, celery and onions....what happened to the carrots, the zucchini, the peppers? I used to love their grilled veggies before but now it has changed to steamed broccoli, cauliflower and celery. I ordered a Portuguese tart. Lady brought it and I was surprised when she tells me " be careful, it's really hot!". I'm a Portuguese tart lover and never ever I have been served a boiling hot Portuguese tart! The custard was so hot it was dangerous to put it in your mouth ( good thing she said it). The flaky, crunchy pastry wasn't there anymore, it was goey, sogey because of that heat. Even when you bake a Portuguese tart, out of the oven you get that crunchiness. I brought it to her attention, advices you don't do that with a Portuguese tart and explained all above. She then said they are frozen and they have to put it in oven ( that's what they have been told). That explains it! When I was leaving I approached " looked like a more experienced lady there from the staff" just to advise on the issues. Told her - Peri Fries where tooo salty just be careful. Her answer: is the salt, is the way. I said ok, just put less. She re-afirmed:" is the spice is salty". I just left it there. Told her about the veggies - her answer was "they were grilled" . I told her they were not, you can tell and moved to the third issue The Portuguese tart you don't serve that hot, she then tells the other lady didn't know but that the Portuguese tart was fresh out of the oven!? And added that's what they have been told to do. I just left the place disappointed not only because of some food issues, which is ok, things happen. But the interaction with the staff, the excuses, the different information when brought the issues was a waste of time and...
Read moreRegular customer. Visit about 2-3 times a week. Went in for the "Tuesday Special" (double leg + 1 side). It's advertised for $19.99 on their TV screen but they charged me $21.99. When I asked the owner why I was overcharged by $2 he said that was the price. I explained how I've been coming in every Tuesday for the $19.99 special and was unaware the price had increased because there was NO sign or NO communication from the order taker. He agreed the price charged is different from the advertised price but refused to come to a resolution. I suggested he turn off the TV's because someone else may not be as nice as me. He said he draws in business and most people don't notice the $2 difference. Sounds like a scam to me. I was spending about $80/week here, but NO longer. I can't support a business that doesn't respect me or my hard earned cash. I get we are all trying to make a buck but you don't do it by ripping off people who are consistently supporting your business. I have a lot of family in Abby who go there, I'm going to let them and my whole social media page know about my experience because this was just WRONG! (BTW: The food was also VERY off that day... under cooked chicken for the first time ever so I'm thinking there cook may have left and they are...
Read moreI have been coming here since opening day in September and never had a bad experience ever! Great food, great staff, not harsh on the wallet.
Seriously if you are thinking of checking this place out, do it! I have tried multiple things on the menu and enjoyed all of them, the cookies and cream pie is wicked good!
I'm flat out appalled at Tiffany K, lying through her teeth. Me and you both know corporate controls the menu pricing, anytime I'm there they throw in a freebie here and there whether it's chicken, a free drink or dessert for me. The owner and his girlfriend are some of the most honest and down to earth people I...
