My boyfriend an I thought we would try something new! Went in optimistic and excited. Unfortunately my first red flag was having to clean my own seating area when we first arrived (we were greeted and told to choose anywhere to sit, that was nice) not a big deal but I did grab a napkin and wipe pizza toppings and crumbs off our seating, trying to avoid doing that of course but all the tables in proxcimity to where we wanted to sit had crumbs and pizza toppings on the seats. I’m not a picky or highstrucng person but I notice things; and the tables not being flush was offsetting because I ended up spilling my $4 drink as I went to drag it closer to myself after being served. The waitress was nice enough to use the dirty napkin I left on the edge of the table after cleaning the seats off to clean the spill..well intentioned but it felt even more dirty sitting at the table. Anyways we both decided on a build your own pizza as it made sense for us to cater to our allergies. I learned their ingredients were not freshly prepared because I couldn’t have my onions cooked in oil because “they’re predone in butter” annoying when you’re ordering a $15 6” pizza that it’s not even fresh... our pizzas came they looked nice felt pretty sparing on the toppings for my BF vegan pizza, so that stung a lot considering it was extra.. but my toppings were hardly cooked they were warm and kinda swuishy but not what I expected for being brick oven cooked. And the big fricken basil’s leaves oh my goodness.. like yes, I love fresh basil but it wasn’t even cooked!! Just big fricken leaves tossed ontop! I tried not to laugh but guys felt like I had lawnmower clippings on my pizza??!!!!😂😂 my goodness what a mess this chain is! I’d like to also add initially when our server came up she wanted to try and remember our orders without her ipad.. she had to stop me and get the iPad.. kinda weird to not bring something with you to note the order down so you can correctly put in the order..? The cherry ontop though was the onions.. my Receipt when I got it listed the ingredients put on the pizza and it said onions.. I freaked out my anxiety went up because I had confirmed I couldn’t eat it because I was allergic to dairy I started crying just a little and made a scene because I was freaking out (quietly huffing and flustered) but the server kept loudly telling me to “calm down” “relax, I talked with THE MAN who made YOUR PIZZA SPECIFICALLY and he says there were no onions.” It drew a lot of attention.. nothing feels worse then establishing that you can’t eat something and then having a scare that you could have just eaten it!! we paid and left and agreed never again!! $35 wasted :/
**edit!! Watched servers use phones and chat storms up...
Read moreDecided to treat myself to a very late lunch/early dinner.
Ordered a Sophia Loren and was disappointed , everything tasted the same, which is unexpected for a sandwich that should have a lot of punchy flavours. The bottom of the sandwich was soggy which just made everything worse. I do wonder if they are pre-made which would explain the soggy bottom.
The sandwiches are supposed to come with dip and antipasto taster, neither of which I got. The dip I don't mind as it would have just added to the soggy mess of a sandwich, but missing out an entire side just added to the disappointing experience.
Was asked if I wanted to add a salad, which I did and was also equally disappointed. Caprese Salad should be something that's hard to mess up but was somehow accomplished. The mozzarella texture seemed like it had been previously frozen, and the tomato had no flavour.
When the antipasto didn't arrive I had thought that maybe I had misunderstood and had subbed out the antipasto for the salad but once getting the bill found out that wasn't the case.
The waiter was overbearing. Yes please check in with your patrons, but for a sandwich and salad there's little reason to check in with them every three bites. I felt like I was being hurried out of a...

Upon entering I quickly learnt they did not have a liquor license which was obviously not the restaurants fault. We ordered some entrees and they were brought out quickly. Unfortunately, for both our entrees and main meals, we could only muscle one bite. The pizza was so salted that the granules were crunchy in between my teeth, the wife’s gnocchi was falling apart mushy, and the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella balls seemed off to both of us. The bruschetta was good, although it was served with overly-oily flatbread, not baguette. The atmosphere was very welcoming and our server was extremely friendly and amazing the entire time. Hopefully it was just a bad cook that night. I may be over critiquing some dishes as I enjoy cooking myself, however the pizza was inexcusable. We paid our bill of 71$ and happily tipped our amazing server.
I am not one to write bad reviews, however I really hope the food quality increases so I can start coming back regularly! Hopefully the city will also grant to liquor...
