Been going here for almost 7 years since it opened, sometimes 1-3 times a week, dine-in/take-out, tipped 15-20% (even on take-out), the older waitresses knew us by name and we referred so many people. We always ordered the speciality rolls, sushi combo and never had an issue. Everything was good and fresh. I’ve noticed in the past year the service and quality has really gone down. We ordered takeout speciality rolls that are $14-$17 and the end and second to last were sliced so big (over 2.5cm) which were about 9 pieces/3 rolls. You can’t eat that! I called to kindly let them as we’ve ordered multiple times and wanted to tell their new cook it’s simply too big, not looking for a discount. Apparently the owner made them and “there is no problem”. No sorry, no we’ll keep it mind, just no. If your ordering almost a $20 roll, it could at least be cut nicely. Today, they changed their menu, increased their prices heavily (I get rent is going up) and got rid of the chicken salad. Today I asked if they could put chicken on salad, she said no. (You can’t put chicken on salad, you have chicken skewers and green salad on the menu?) So I ordered a California Roll that has “cucumber” in it.. (see photo below) it was 2 tiny slivers of cucumber skin in the whole roll for $6.5. I told the waitress I’ve been coming for 7 years and I’m shocked at just the “no” then she ignored our table completely, gossiped about us in the back, the manager never came to talk to us. Manager doesn’t seem to care, bathroom is gross, portions are small, miso is cheap, tea is basically hot water, 2 shreds of cucumber skin as “cucumber”, spicy combo was $20 now $26 (lots of items up $4-$6), can’t put chicken on a salad… just lack of service and care. Read moreI am sharing my experience this evening from a pick order. Please be mindful where you spend your hard earned money.
I went in to pick up my order and paid by card. I tapped, and the cashier asked if I wanted my receipt. I said yes, please. She then handed me the original bill, and I asked if I could please have the debit receipt as well. Much to my surprise, a 20% tip was added to my bill without my acknowledgment. When I confronted her and asked her why this was added, she became flustered and acted as if the machine did it on its own. I asked to be reimbursed. * If I wanted to tip, I would have, but I was never even given the choice to do so. She chose it for me*
She then asked another coworker what to do, and they refunded me with cash. Out of fear they had been caught..
I want people to be very aware of this situation. I assume I am NOT the first person they did this to. They are likely doing this on many pick up orders and even in house orders.

Read moreThe reason I went here was likely why a lot of people go here, the Mall, easy safe food. What I found was a very bland, overpriced sushi restaurant.
I judge all sushi places by their Sunomono, because you got to start somewhere and this is an easy one. The tiny little bowl it came in was chipped all the way around, the flovour was lacking and worst of all it was all lettuce. I don't pay 4 for a bowl of tiny pieces of lettuce covering the miniscule amount of noodles(which are the best part). Very disappointing to say the least. And the sushi was also lacking in depth and ingredients most of all flavour.
I don't use soya sauce as a general rule mostly because I find it overtakes the flovour of the sushi. Today was the exception to this rule.
In summary, the service was good and waitress nice, but I will not be going back. Rather I will take the extra time I need and go into Aldergrove or Abbotsford were I won't be over paying for...
