Absolutely absurd customer service experience with the leading manager Jas.
We simply ordered our food, then realized that there fountain machine for refills was down so we politely asked if we could upsize our drink to a large due to there being no refills.
Because we just paid 2 seconds prior the manager (jas) had an issue with us paying the difference it was literally 2 seconds after we placed the order.
She had looked at another employee and started gossiping to them regarding our request. (Keep in mind she wasn’t near the cashier counter, but over by the fry station)
Once she came to the cashier counter She was verbally yelling in our face because we had politely asked for a upsize in our drink cup. She refused multiple times saying she cannot upsize as it’s out of “her control” that she just works there and that her manager will not allow her to make such changes.
At that point we again politely said if you’re not willing to allow us to upsize that we would like our full refund for the food that hasn’t been made or even started on.
She once again refused and continued raising her voice, I asked her in a calming manner if she could please stop yelling at us as she’s causing a scene and that the whole restaurant was now being disturbed.
She went on to say she’s not yelling (while continuing to do so)
We requested several times for our refund with her not doing anything saying she cannot. I said after the customer service experience we just had here we do not want your food or to support this location please call your higher up manager and get our refund.
After a good 5 mins of being yelled at and told she can’t do anything she then gets off the phone for the second time with a manager and said I can only give you cash refund not MasterCard. We said that’s fine and once we got our refund we were on our way.
Jas has the most unprofessional customer service I have ever seen, it’s sad that a worker would treat a paying customer this poorly.
I have encountered this typical behaviour on separate occasions at this location and today was my last time ever going back there.

But for some reason I am always finding at this Burger King things seem to be more expensive than I remember others. But kept thinking it is in my mind. But I have found myself say almost every time I have been there, that is a lot of money and I wasn't expecting it to be that high. Now I know that to be the case because of the new cheesy tots. I went with 4 kids to the coquitlam burger king and they were new to us so we decided to try them. They were delicious and the kids loved them and since there are only 8 per order and the kids ate them like candy, I went back three times to order more. I know I paid $2.89 for 8 pieces. Not cheap but not crazy either. When we got to the clearbrook one I saw they had them to and immediately ordered them only to say, why is my order so expensive. She went over the costs and the junior whopper was more than I thought and the cheesy tots were well over $5 each. I was shocked and I said, we just got them for $2.89 in coquitlam. She told me I was wrong. I know what I paid and in no way would I buy something that cost almost $6 for only 8 pieces that are potatoes. Now that makes me wonder what else is more money. The staff overcharged me - I ordered total $22 worth menu then checked that I got charged for $33. I asked for the detailed receipt to the staff, the staff checked the receipt then just said that he will give me $5 back while ripping the receipt off in front of me. He never showed the detailed receipt to me. I guess I would just have paid $33 if I did not ask them back. Not even sure what my total was.
Staffs were wearing food service gloves, but they did everything while wearing same gloves - even giving me $5 cash back then the staff went straight back to make whoppers while wearing the same gloves.... I felt bad for drive thru ppl who will get those whoppers (needless to say that the staff assembled my order after as well).
They forgot to include the sauce for mozzarella sticks although I specifically asked for it. Fries were cold and soggy... The burger I received also had tons of mayo, crispy chicken, few lettuce slices, and one tomato slice in it... At that point I was just sad - not even mad.
This was my first time trying Burger King and I will never go back for sure. It made my night quite miserable and I couldn't even have more than few bites as I lost my appetite after attesting the whole process of making it. Not even worth 1 star. I should have gone to...
