mom went to abby for a dr apt and she stopped by a indian sweet shop near there . apparently the store staff were very encouraging to her as she tried to pronounce the unique names of sweets on the list I gave her like bikaneri barfi, gulab jamun, kakakand, kaju roll haha . I will be getting more next time they are so delicious! . gulab jamun is like a donut hole soaked in honey syrup and the rest are like variations of marzipan sort of with a crumbly or chewy dough like consistency that vary in flavour from honey , to cheese cake , to sort of curious flavours im not used to which I assume are indian spices but each and every one is so good , all of them . The best one is the plain barfi and one that tastes like gingerbread, I had to force myself not to eat everything cus i know from research that they are made with a lot of sugar . The place was called super punjab sweet house if anyone wants to go try it out I highly...
Read moreWow! What a difference. Previous female workers/owner was Sooooo rude so I actually stopped going there.
I went in today to buy sweet as a gift and I was surprised by the new store layout…. Looked very nice! I was greeted very warmly right off the bat. Smiles and a friendly hello (this has never been the case before)
I ordered 12 veggie samosas and then I needed help buying sweets as I’ve never bought any before. They were so kind and helpful. Upfront on the price when I asked…. Even gave me a sample to try and it was delicious!!
The samosas were the best I ever had as well! Their spices are on point (imo). I thought the other ones were the best but these are superior !
Thank you for such a great experience- looking forward to coming back...
Read moreDifficult to recommend store as inconsistency seems to be the biggest problem here. Samosas can be good or bad. Quality of ingredients vary, sometimes I have no issues, and sometimes I get samosas with slimy feeling potatoes. Pastry will vary too, from light and crispy to thick and heavy. Lack of chutney options are disappointing as only imli (sweet) is offered and not a preferred choice for everyone. Quality is far from what you can get in Surrey. Punjabi food options in Abbotsford are lacking, and specifically catered for older generation. Samosas I got on Saturday 11th at 4pm are the best I’ve...
