Egg & Us — Restaurant in Airdrie

Quaint little place, kind of a pop-up vibe, but don't judge a book by its cover... The food is serious, well the classic breakfast and the veggie omelet were anyway. The potatoes were like I have not tasted at other breakfast offerings, so delicious, crisp on the outside yet tender inside and full of flavor! The chefs running the kitchen deserve a raise. It should be noted this was our first for this restaurant, and can honestly say will return. Like for real, just give me a plate full of those potatoes, don't even get me started on the bacon.... I kind of regret leaving this review because I don't want this place to become too busy and I can't get in for my own delicious food order. In all seriousness, the food is delicious, the staff are pleasant, and courteous. If I "had" to give a criticism it would be that the servers should come around and check on how meal is, if a refill of drinks required..etc. Don't want to say the service was bad, because it was not, just a tweak perhaps.

So this was a bit weird, I arrived with my friend for breakfast and a Dad for the weekend showed up at the same time. I didn't watch, but I wish I did, they were running and screaming like this is how to act in public, then one hurt themselves, sadly I missed it. Then one of the local drunks from the motel showed up drunk, sits next to us and starts interjecting himself into everyone else's conversation. It was really annoying, but he was huge so I said nothing. Then another local young lady from the motel saunters in, stinking of perfume. If you have to wear so much that I can taste it, you should have a shower but I'm not sure that will wash away the shame. Finally as I was leaving and talking with my friend, the large drunk was ejected in protest. Interesting show to go with my excellent breakfast, but next time I'll just...

I will start with the positive thing that the food is tasty and the portions are good. But I don’t go out for breakfast only for the sake of eating but also to enjoy a nice place with nice ambiance, otherwise I would order take away and eat at home. The decor needs to be updated ( I visited this place two years ago when it was kind of a Mexican restaurant and they still have the same decor) There are no blinds on the windows and the sun was hitting our faces. The ventalation is terrible, when I left the place I felt my hair and clothes were soaked in oil. The floor was also sticky. So if you want to go out just to feed yourself then that’s the place for you. But I don’t think I will come back as I would appreciate a place where the owner puts a little effort in creating a nice seating area and a nice atmosphere for...
