Awesome customizable burgers, I had the bacon cheeseburger, medium Cajun fries and bacon salted caramel milkshake. Everything was amazing in taste and size! The standard burger is 2 thick patties (they have Little size which is one patty), juicy and adding to the bacon and American cheese (2 cheese slices) I filled it with tomato, lettuce, onions, BBQ sauce, mayo and I dipped it in a side of gravy, barely able to get it in my mouth, it was huge! The Cajun fries had filled their container AND half the bag, the seasoning was delicious and the fries crisp and soft inside, yum! The milkshake was also customizable, standard in size but huge in taste. I made bacon and salted caramel, next time I'll add peanut butter and see what happens. It was pricey, $30 with tip but I could only eat half of my dinner so took the rest home for dinner the next day. I'd pay that any day when I get 2 dinners from that with that hugely delicious taste. So glad I didn't go to McD's like I had first planned. I would have got half this meal size for half the price and with half the taste if I was lucky. To me it's well worth the higher prices to get double the good.
It's a walk in, place your order at the till restaurant, you have a large board to choose toppings for your items. Then you pay and get an order number and you can stand at the pickup area to go or grab a seat to dine in. You can watch everyone making the food in front of your eyes while you wait behind the plexiglass corridor, pretty entertaining. Make sure to ask for extra condiments and napkins (lots of those!) as they aren't out to grab for yourself. It's a loud place during busy times with orders being yelled but quite entertaining. Definitely a great place to treat yourself to delicious fast food the way it...
Read moreCame in with a friend on a slow Saturday evening, ordered 2 cheeseburgers and a large Cajun fry to go. Waited about 15-20 minutes with 4 orders ahead of us. Despite there only being 3 employees in the store (that I saw at least) one of them spent the majority of time I was waiting wandering around the dining room sweeping a clean floor. The fries ended up being slightly undercooked, probably only needed another 30 or seconds in the fryer. However the real problem was that our burgers were not made correctly. My friend only had 3 toppings on their burger and was missing one. I had several more toppings on mine and was missing the BBQ sauce as the only other sauce I had was some mayo my burger ended up being rather dry. Plus instead of getting extra lettuce like I had asked for I barely got any at all and only had like 2 or 3 pickles on my burger. Not a terrible experience persay, but what's the point in having your customers choose their own toppings if you're just going to ignore what we ask for anyways? We tipped too so we're especially upset that we couldn't have our burgers made right. It's not like they could use the excuse of it being busy and getting them flustered, I guess they just don't care. Probably won't bother coming back to...

The patties are juicy, the toppings are fresh, and the buns are perfectly toasted. In summary the ordering and execution of your burger lunch at Five Guys Airdrie is seamless and they make it oh so easy.
