UPDATEAUGUST 2024*OK SO I CHANGED MY 2 STAR REVIEW TO A 5. AMBER HAS TOTALLY CHANGED MY OPINION ON THIS LOCATION! AMBER IS A COMPLETE GEM, SHES AMAZING AND THE REASON WE KEEP COMING BACK! SHES ATTENTIVE, THOROUGH, SWEET, REMEMBERS OUR ORDER QND KNOWS THE MENU JUST THE BEST!!!

So this is usually a one off place to go due to service being intermittently brutal, food hits and misses but it's a place we go out of "the norm". So I ordered the Nashville chicken bites, and Omg it was definitely not what the description and picture depicted. I advised our waitress that it's nothing at all what the description shows or even what the picture looks like and her response was "some people don't like hot sauce and were complaining its too hot" I then went on stating that it's not tossed in any sauce, it's dry and completely different than what's on the menu. She just shrugged her shoulders. I expressed my disappointment and moved forward. I expected a potential discount but whatever. Let's fast forward to the bill, full charge, not happy, this is why I don't frequent this place much. Pretty disappointed. But that's on me I guess as I keep coming back hoping for better each time.

Ok, so we've been back, food was somewhat the same but the difference seems to be the only one thing that seperates this place frome being sub par, to amazing. Her name is Amber! She's attentive, knows when to clean the table, knows when to ask the questions and is always asking how we are doing!? The manager is pretty great, first time dealing with him today but great personality, always wanting to help. Amber is fantastic at what she does. Because of her we will be back. Employees like this are rare, so give her a raise and recognize how good and dedicated she is!! Just...

Met my parents, as well as my wife and i met here on October 8, 2020 for dinner. They drove up from Red Deer, and my wife and I are from Calgary.

SERVICE: Now I am not sure how much reausturant experience our server had, but I think that the establishment had set her up to fail as she was the only one working the dining room. I give her a ton of credit as I know how incredibly scatter brained one can be when you are getting fired at on multiple sides, so I don't feel she was able to do her job effectively, As we had to continually ask for refills of water (each of us had a glass, as well only dad had a coffee in addition to our drinks and he had to keep remindingher he wanted more).

FOOD: Our table ordered 3 steak dinners and one rib dinner. Each meal was approximately $30 to $35. For this amount, we would expect a high quality cut of beef for our steaks. The sides were not overly fancy, (but still tasty) but the meals were no better than the same as a medium quality meal. My steak was tough, and my mom had to send hers back as it was extremely Gristly. Our meals would easily compare to any medium style dinner (approximate value around $23 mark at other restaurants).

ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant did have a pleasant atmosphere and for the most part was fairly relaxing. Ample parking and friendly staff.

All in all, this restaurant is trying to appear as a high end restaurant but grossly misses the mark with the quality of food being served and lack of staff. I know covid-19 has put stress on us all; but don't allow your staff to suffer for a better bottom line.

Would i recommend this family restaurant? NO, solely based on the poor quality of food being served and charging high quality food...

This was my first time at a Mr. Mike’s. We stopped by Mr. Mike’s in Airdrie for a bite and break in our travel journey. The food was delicious! I had the Mr. Mike’s Burger and my father had honey garlic wings. The fries were perfectly crispy, gravy fantastic and wings superb. The only reason I am leaving a 4 star review versus a 5 star is because it seemed like my burger patty was of a pre made patty variety versus homemade. However, the real motivation behind this review is to commend server TARA. She was exceptional!!! Tara was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable about the different beer selections, patient and very attentive. Her enthusiasm, suggestions, bright smile and overall vibe was that of a server who genuinely enjoys her job rather being purely motivated by the tip she expected to receive. I know the world is a a bit of a mess and making ends meet continues to get harder and harder…but servers like Tara are sadly few and far between these days. As someone in the same industry I see it all the time. The inability to leave their personal life at the door, the eye rolling when asking for a refill or sigh of inconvenience for requesting a forgotten or extra side item. Love of the job replaced by “Can you believe they only left me 10% tip!!?? Tara - you are a breath of fresh air and I would drive the 2hrs from my home without hesitation to be served...
