We placed an order through Uber eats it said 15-25 mins to receive the food. Our order was mixed grill platter & the chicken salad. Uber then put a delay by the resturant so we waited 40 minutes in total for our food to arrive, when the food arrived the platter only had 1 kofta and 2 small pieces of chicken souvlaki! No chicken shawarma and only two small pieces of the chicken souvlaki! The entire plate was just rice! The food was cold! We then called lazeez in Ajax to complain, all they offered was to replace the missing meat from the platter. She said I have to drive to the restaurant myself, when I ordered food in the first place to prevent myself from leaving the house due to COVID-19.
I arrived at the restaurant and the experience only got worse. The lady said she is only willing to replace the grill chicken platter and not the chicken salad. She said they have to take platter back in order to replace it. They then proceeded to ask me to pay for the platter again and then claim it for a refund through Uber. The man started yelling at me and saying I have to pay and deal with Uber!! Even though they just made me drive to the restaurant to get the food myself! The customer service was horrendous and extremely aggressive!! Then said I have to wait 20-30 mins for the platter to be remade for me even though while I was on the phone I stated I will be coming for a replacement. When I asked in regards to the chicken salad that my friend had ordered, she said she wouldn’t replace the food because it’s cold. The owner said “you can stand there and eat it” !!! I have never been to a restaurant where an owner or an employee would raise their voice and yell at a customer who is already complaining about the service!
To add to the experience, as soon as I walked into the restaurant. The first thing I noticed is that none of the employees were Social Distancing!! There were no marks on the floor placed to ensure customers are social distancing! I was in the restaurant waiting for my food for 30 mins and during the entire time, none of the employees changed their gloves once! The girl handling the salads, sneezed and wiped her hands on her pants and still never changed her gloves! The man who I believe is the owner wasn’t wearing gloves and not once did he wash his hands either and he touched many surfaces through out the 30 mins I was there! On top of all that there was a customer sitting on a chair in the dine in area which is against government COVID-19 protocols! To top it all of, in the 30 mins I was there waiting for ONE platter to be made, TWO other customers were complaining and received just as terrible of a customer...

In my completely neutral opinion this was the first and last time I will ever want to eat anything from here again. Me and my girlfriend ordered a Chicken Shawarma plate and a 12” beef gyro wrap + fries. I have eaten at places all over Durham and Scarborough, I have 3 shawarma/gyro places in particular that are 10/10 also half of the price for much better quality/quantity of food. The meat on the gyro was okay but the rest of the wrap was tasteless and the sauces didn’t compliment the meat what so ever. It looked aesthetically pleasing but I would never eat that again and I am a huge fan of shawarmas and gyros. My girlfriend had a chicken shawarma plate that was a little better than the wrap. Some bites tasted better than others but it was just seasoned rice with chicken, nothing that made me want to devour it. She asked for extra tahini and she got 2 tiny strips of sauce. I hate to say it but I enjoyed the fries the most out of this meal. She asked me mix green lettuce,I said "yes" She opened a chopped head lettuce from the bag.This is your mix green?? You guys should learn about the food before open a restaurant.Always remember customers pay money. I have seen,she was picked the chicken from the counter? I knew this is left over from yesterday's shawarma machine ,you leave it on the counter and use for uber orders and chicken with salads, chicken is old and dried because it was sitting all day yesterday.She made chicken with salad,20% of salad and 80% of old and dried chicken with tasteless white dressing. I think you guys living in different planet I tried twice and throwed in to the garbage front of your store. This is not a cheating? Are you really wants to make money like this??
