5 stars does not describe how outstanding our server was. I eat out quite a bit and find it refreshing to see such a diamond in the rough. Her name is Bernice. When we first arrived she brought our coffees and asked us to pick them up off the table for a moment. We did and she leveled out the table we were sitting at with the little peice of cardboard that had slipped out! Amazing first impression so far. After we asked questions and decided on food, we watched Bernice interacting with the rest of the patrons. Wow. She was so in tune with her customers, whether it was the little boy who wanted chocolate chip pancakes, or how she knew how the elderly man liked his order. This woman was humorous, attentive, forthcoming, and a pleasure to be around. My cousin and my son and I left with smiles on our faces, full belly's and a great day all around because of Bernice. Please if the owners of Michael's eatery are reading this, commend Bernice and the rest of your great staff for making a simple meal...
Read moreWe used to go at least once a week. The had some great waitresses, but I haven't seen them recently. We went today and ordered our food. People who came in after and ordered got their food and was almost finished eating by the time my food arrived( 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 2 eggs, not a difficult order). My food was ice cold. The waitress never came back to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything. They seem to just stand at the cash wrapping cutlery and talking , more then serving. The only time we saw the waitress again was when she dropped the check on our table. I had not eaten hardly any of my meal but she didn't even ask if there was a problem. There are alot of other breakfast places in ajax to go to. I won't waste my money here again. It's too bad because the place used to be good.

Read moreMy usual Saturday in Ajax ended up here for lunch on a recommendation. The place is a little out of the way (for me) but worth it in the long run. Comfortable booth seating and the fastest servers in town, we had our coffee/tes almost before we sat down.
The usual breakfast/brunch menu was broken down nicely on the menu so that you could pinpoint if you wanted eaggy, meaty or sweet food...interesting, My wife had the light breakfast with fresh fruit (great!), my brother-in-law a soup and sandwich (fresh and hot) while I tackled the Philadielphia Hoagie.
The restaurent boasts about a greek influence and I should havegone for somethig more traditional because this particular sandwich was not up to expectations. It was OK, but not up to what a Philly Hoagie is all about. But the coffeee was great and the service was excellant. I will just try something different next time.
Yes I will...
