Burger Baron — Restaurant in Alberta

When I heard that Alberta had its own fast food franchise that I had never heard of, I had to try it. Well, Burger Baron is very loosely a franchise sharing only really a name and the Sundre location, is fast food it also creates a great 50s dinner feel in their location.

For the food, I was nervous with such a large menu as I that some restaurants that try to tackle everything fail to deliver. I only had the one meal but it didn't disappoint. I had the Double Mushroom Extreme meal and it was fantastic! Great size and proportions, and I can see why the famous mushroom sauce is so sought after. Even the gravy was good, and I'm not usually a gravy and fries guy, but it really went well with the old style crinkle cut fries. I didn't get a milkshake as I could barely finish my meal but they did have over 20 different flavors to choose from, making this definitely a go to stop on a hot summer day.

I'd definitely recommend you stop by the Burger Baron in Sundre, definitely a better choice than any other fast food...

Arrived at Burger Baron at 8:45 with my son, we ordered a Buffalo Burger and Texas Fried Chicken with a Pepsi and Rum and Butter shake, food was served completely overcooked at 9:00 without drinks, we finished our meal and still no drinks, other customers that arrived after us were taken care of, the got their meals and drinks at the same time, we asked twice for our drinks and were told they would be coming. Finally my son goes to the counter and guy comes out of the kitchen and asks everyone if they needed anything and finally the girl at the counter asks him to make our drinks, obviously the girl at the counter has no idea what she's doing. I find it hard to believe in this day and age that customer service like this is still going on. Absolutely atrocious service. Worst customer service I have...

This post should have been made a 3 days ago when I ordered but I decided to wait. I have ordered from this local restaurant a couple times and the first few experiences in the drive thru were fine. Decent selections and an average portion with a price that you would expect from a small town burger place and a grumpy small town girl for a cashier. I decided I would try and order delivery, wow what a let down. I waited about an hour and twenty minutes each time for the deliver driver to look angry when there wasnt a tip.... I excused the first two times thinking they could be busy or had a new driver but by the third time I was over it. 3 stars for over all decent food but lacking In the customer...
