This place a gem hidden in a very unexpected location. I have driven by it for years with no desire based on outward appearance to come inside - but I was so wrong! This place is amazing! The lasagna is amazing and huge (could feed two!). They don’t make the meat sauce spicy on purpose to appeal to a wider group of people (I discussed it with the owners) but you can add some chilly flakes and get to your desired level of seasoning with little issue. This is a nice thoughtful gesture. The BLT was amazing also, generous in size and delicious too. The pizza we ordered was very nice. Perfect crust, generous cheese but not drowning. Tasted very fresh. Everything was hot, we had to let it cool down before eating, which was hard to do as the garlic toast aromatics was begging us to not wait any longer. The jalapeño popper pizza was nice and spicy and an amazing experience (if you like the heat!). The place was clean. If they had a bit more curb appeal this place would be packed every night, it’s definitely a “locals know it’s great” kind of place. You should have no concerns in trying food from here ( we ate in ). Enjoy!!

Just passing thru on the way home. Found Mamas using google maps. Ordered pizza and fish & chips. Don’t let the outside fool you. Restaurant is clean and updated on interior. Relaxing music. Pizza is good and filling. Fish and chips are good as well. Mamas heart attack garlic toast is hands down the best I have ever tasted. Not sure if the toast is called heart attack for the amount of butter in it or the garlic breath it gives you after eating. The wait time from sit down food in front of us was about 20 minutes. To be fair we were one of two parties seated. The pizza must be popular because the phone never stopped ringing for take out. Definitely will stop here again when passing this way again.

Not sure how this lasagna ever received a good review based on what I was just served. It’s not tomato sauce, it’s tomato paste and dry noodles. Seriously….tangy out of the can tomato paste, no juice in the pan at all, no ground beef and no taste, unless you enjoy eating a can of tomato paste with thin dry noodles. I ate the cheese off the top and the rest went in the garbage. I really wanted to like the lasagna here as I’ve read all the reviews and it sounded so good and looked great…very disappointed! 😞

Never judge a book by the cover. Went to Okotoks for busker fest.We didn’t want food from a food truck, rather a place to sit and eat. As a small business owner that has to compete with chain stores I always seek out an independent. A google search led us to Mamas Pizza. I will admit the outside appearance was not inviting. The dark tint on the window drew attention to the webs of glass at the door. I opened the door and saw a few people dining. A cheery waitress promptly greeted us. She brought the menu offered a beverage while we looked it over. She returned with our drinks and asked if we had eaten there before, told us a little about the history of the restaurant explained the homemade from scratch dishes, I asked what she would recommend and she said everything.. Her hospitality, attitude and genuineness were 10 star.. Our food came and I couldn’t believe how amazing it all looked. The presentation and portion sizes were evident of attention to detail.. I’ve never seen a donair this big. The fries were crisp and fresh the potato skins amazing.. The next table had just finished pizza and they said they have never had such amazing food and value for their dollar I asked the server if she was the owner, which she was not.. she was very busy with take out and the phone was ringing non stop. She carried herself and took care of everyone .refreshing drinks, engaging with diners. She blew us and other diners away. These employees are the ones you need to do what it takes to keep. What an ambassador for the business. With amazing food and service I highly recommend you go. Don’t judge this gem by...

Just arrived in Okotoks and staying at the Econolodge Hotel one night and was craving a good pizza. I come from a place that makes terrible pizza and wasn’t expecting to be so impressed.

The delivery was fast and the driver was polite and courteous.

When I opened the box the pizza was piping hot and I noticed it was put together with effort. The sauce was the perfect amount and hallelujah it was seasoned like a pro. The cheese was obviously a premium cheese and likely a mixture, not just mozzarella. The other noticeable was the tasty crust and perfect texture. No soggy spots, it was perfect. The other half I ate today was as good or better after reheating in the oven.

Prices are great. This isn’t fast food pizza, it’s gourmet made by someone that cares. 10/10 and it’s been a long time since a pizza place got that from me. I will be back and back again and again...
