Morales Cocina x Cantina — Restaurant in Alberta

We fell in love with the morales food truck last year cause the food was so good and the owners were so accommodating to our strict gluten free dietary restrictions and he was so kind to us. My celiac's son was constantly asking to go to the food truck and then when winter came, he patiently waited for spring and soon started regularly asking when it would open again. Then they opened up a sit down restaurant!!!!!! And we just went today for the first time! We ordered shrimp tacos and kev ordered compadre tacos. And woooooowwwwzaaaaaa! So so so good!!!! Like almost better than i remember last year, or maybe the scenery just helps😅. And again the owners are so nice. And i loved how it was plated! I could go on and on. I guess i have gone on and on. We will be choosing this restaurant over others...

Remember that time Maverick did Mach 10? That is this place. So far ahead of the competition.

The birria tacos are like the Mexican version of beef dip but so much better. The beef was the best you’ll find.

The shrimp tacos are huge. You order that and you are leaving a happy person.

One thing that impressed me (if you didn’t think I was impressed previously) is the the ratio of guacamole to chips is impeccable. You will not run out of guac.

Side note: We made the soft opening (among other visits). David sent out some complimentary street corn. Get it as an appy, dessert, take home package, whatever, just get it.

Ps: I hear they’re doing churros now. I’m getting down there....

Went here on a whim for lunch while visiting Wainwright, so glad we did. Although it was quite busy, the guy running the place (assuming he's the owner?) Took the time to take our takeout order with accuracy. Even saved us a couple bucks! He was very polite with us. Only waiting about 10 mins and the food was ready, we took it down to our trailer and enjoyed it. The tacos were so good.... came with a smokey, savory, and a little spicy red sauce which complimented the tacos perfectly.
