I’d heard whispers that Osteria San Marco offered private course menus and bespoke dining experiences, so I decided to see for myself. I opted for the six-course chef’s table, giving only a few requests: an all-seafood theme (save for dessert), a risotto, and an octopus dish.
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was impressed. My private table was beautifully prepared, service was seamless, and within minutes the first course arrived. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary: Velouté de Homard, Crowned with Fire-Kissed Jumbo Prawn A luxurious lobster bisque, velvety and rich, punctuated by a perfectly grilled prawn. Risotto di Capesante, Basil Essence & Garden Aromatics A standout of the evening—silky risotto, balanced al dente bite, kissed with basil, and finished with scallops seared to absolute perfection. Mediterranean Ahi Salad with Blueberry-Ricotta Mousse A refreshing contrast, vibrant and inventive, marrying the richness of tuna with a playful sweetness. Polvo à la Telha – Heritage Portuguese Octopus Perhaps the highlight of the evening. Octopus is notoriously unforgiving, yet here it was sublime—tender, flavorful, and elevated by the rustic clay-tile tradition. Grand Plateau de Fruits de Mer A dazzling display of the sea’s bounty, beautifully presented and executed with finesse. Blueberry Cheesecake with Chocolate Mousse & Peach Coulis A perfect finale—decadent yet balanced, fruit and chocolate dancing in harmony.
Special recognition must be given to the execution of the scallop and octopus, two of the most notoriously difficult ingredients to master, and yet both were prepared with flawless technique. The risotto deserves equal praise—velvety, aromatic, and easily the best I’ve had in years.
Unlike some multi-course menus I’ve experienced elsewhere, where $200–$300+ has left me both light in wallet and still hungry, Osteria San Marco delivered in both quality and satisfaction. Each dish was thoughtful, generous, and beautifully portioned.
They say pictures are worth a thousand words, so I’ll let my photos speak for themselves—but truly, this was an unforgettable evening. Osteria San Marco has secured itself at the top of my list for fine dining...

Rave to San Marco’s in Wainwright located in the museum on 1st. Ave and the end of mainstreet. Hands down one of the best steak dinners you will ever have. Totally love their original salads with fresh avocado slices. Thank you Marion & Denissa once again for your delicious cuisine and warm hospitality.

Rave to San Marco Pizzeria owners Marion & Denissa for putting your heart and soul in bringing authentic Italian Cuisine to Wainwright!
Rave to Maya for your kindness and patience in your recommendations in helping me decide on your phenomenal selection of Regular and Thin Crust Pizzas.
I couldn’t resist on the Venezia style thin crust Gamberetti & Funghi (Shrimp & Mushroom) pizza. Extremely yummy with your generous amounts of baby shrimps, mozzarella, and mushrooms. The crust was the perfect crunchiness!
Marion & Denissa are very down to earth owners whom made the time to visit the many customers there tonight to ensure everything was satisfactory. Truly a personal touch 😊
And to top all this off? I had a double expresso iced coffee, strong till the last sip! I think I’ll be up...
Read moreVisited Osterian San Marco last evening, the ambiance of the place is quite cozy and welcoming, which set a positive start. However, the food didn't quite meet my expectations – it was unexpectedly salty. Also, the server mentioned most of the foods that google is showing as foods are pre ordered foods, they didn't have the thin crust pizza either! Additionally, I noticed that the server was managing the floor alone, which seemed quite challenging given the number of guests. This might have contributed to the longer wait time, as our two-course meal took about 45 minutes to prepare. I believe with adequate staffing and a slight adjustment in seasoning, this place has great potential. Hoping for a better...
