Ricky's All Day Grill - Red Deer South — Restaurant in Alberta

Honestly the worst service i have ever received at a restaurant, the first time we went we asked if we could be seated in a booth, there was MANY booths open but we were told by the young rude hostess no, we couldn't have a booth because she had just sat people in that section and it wouldn't be fair to the other server... she told us we had to wait so we stood there confused for a few minutes until she came back and took us to the booth that she said we couldn't sit in. It took 45 mins to get our food when the place was nearly dead with about 4 tables including us. The second time was the other day and we figured we would give it another chance because the food is generally good, well the server we had was extremely pushy when he asked questions (such as how the food was, he wanted specific answers from everyone) and would make you feel extremely uncomfortable while doing so, when he brought out our food we asked if he could bring us some ketchup and his reply to us was "I only have two hands"..... needless to say we will never go back and we have told many people about his rude...

Went for lunch with a friend, we arrived at noon and were seated a few minutes later. Place was about 40% full. We place our orders about ten minutes later. Roughly about thirty minutes after we had placed our order a customer who was seated before we got seated, went to the bar and complained that he had been waiting forty five minutes for his order, who then proceeded to leave.

Well about ten minutes passed and we received our order. At that time, the server acknowledged that we had waited beyond a reasonable amount of time.

The food was hot, but nothing suggested why it would take forty plus minutes to receive our food. When the server returned to collect our dishes, she mentioned that it was a tough transition period, where the restaurant was trying to embrace the reemergence of the public with a skeleton...

UPDATE I go here almost every weekend. Yesterday I was craving a bacon sandwich... so off to Ricky's I go. It wasn't overly busy... but it had some customers in side.

I ordered a BLT no T because I'm allergic to raw tomatoes. I waited almost 45 minutes before I got my food. And when I did my bacon was sooooo burnt. I also ordered a side bacon because the 2 slices they put on a bacon sandwich just isn't enough. Hard bacon is an understatement... I'm pretty sure it was old bacon they just re used. My side bacon was black..... I have pictures obviously. Very disappointed
