I have been to a lot of donut places but this one is by far one of the better locations to get a delicious coffee side.
Price: Price is very reasonable, not too cheap like Tims but defijitely not too expensive like a designer donut shop. It is just right.
Location: Perfect. Gasoline Alley needs a nice little pick-me-up type place that doesn't just sell burgers and fries. Right on one of the main exits so it is hard to miss
Ambiance and Atmosphere: Like a 80's diner but nice and clean...not like your usual fast food place with junk on the ground. No drive through but Covid friendly procedures have been put in place.
Taste: Delicious! Got a 6 pack of donuts and most of them were even still warm (despite the rain storm outside). I got a coconut donut and it was my favourite by far. Any of the donuts with whipping cream are delicious as well.
Service: Fast food style restaurant so not sit down. Order at the counter and the staff there were fast and pleasant.
Overall, 5 stars. Great atmosphere, great price, and...
Read moreThis place was recommended to us by family. This shop is locally owned, one of a kind. They really pride themselves on their product. They are located 1.5 hours south of Edmonton, in Red Deer, Alberta.
This place has a flavour of the month. While they were still serving June's flavour, in July, I'm curious to know what the new flavour will be--they encourage people to share their ideas.
1 dz of donuts is just over $15.00--normal for a premium donut. Updated in 2023: $22.99/DZ
This place also serves coffee, sandwiches, soup, breakfast sandwiches, etc.
Edit: tried the crab salad sandwich. It's filling, pick your own toppings...very tasty and not bad for $8.00.
You'll want to stop by--it is conveniently located off of the highway, so it is easy to make it apart of your trip.
The Boston Cream is yum! I'm sure the rest are too...I'll have to update when I get home and eat them!
Edit: After several visits here now, Raspberry Bismarck is now our favourite ❤️
They also have mill bites--like robins eggs or...
Read moreI have never been and was very happy to go, there are ZERO good yeast donut places left in red deer... at least that I can find open when I'm in the mood for it.
Very good yeast donuts and lots of selection left even though we were late. Very speedy, nice staff very clean.
I love Boston creme donuts, and I'm not to picky about it. But you have to know that you guys don't have Boston creme, and shouldn't advertise it as such, or at least let people know it's not really a Boston creme. I wouldn't of cared of it was vanilla pudding, white pudding, or some kind of some what custardy thing.... they are both filled to bursting with the thickest, sweetest, just dense whipped cream. Very disappointed far to sweet for me, I'd ordered a hazelnut cream expecting the whipped filling and it had a good amount I couldn't really complain but after the "boston" it looked kind of lacking. It wasn't as sweet or dense of a cream though and...
