As can be seen from my other reviews I am not one to unfairly bash or talk down a business, especially in this current economic uncertainty. However our experience this evening cannot be ignored and did not appear to be an anomaly. We arrived at the venue and after checking the menu approached the counter to order. The pizzeria has an open kitchen and staff can be seen clearly, as I am sure in return they can see you. Despite this it took almost five minutes for our order to be taken. No āJust a minuteā or āSorry weāll be right with youā just empty stares from staff walking past. This should have been our warning to leave. We ordered, paid cash and sat down to wait for our order to be brought over to us as we were told it would be. Forty minutes later I approached the counter to ask for an update and was told āItās getting boxed up now Iāll bring it out to you in a minuteā. I returned to my seat and waited. Ten further minutes later I entered and again asked for an update. I was told āItās getting boxed up now Iāll bring it out to you in a minuteā. I was not prepared to fall for this again so asked for a refund as we had plans for the evening and had now been waiting for fifty minutes for a single pizza. Even this passed through two different sets of equally dismissive and unapologetic hands and took almost ten minutes to process. The marketing slogan for this company is āfriendly, fast and a casual atmosphereā according to their website. We did not experience a single aspect of this slogan as there were also a number of tables that had used dishes and cutlery on for some time during our visit. I do not like doing this however the business had multiple opportunities to rectify the events of tonight and took none and so I feel I have to warn others that this may be the case...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePizza is mediocre. Crust was fine, but taking a bite you soon realize you're eating dough. Undercooked, moist dough. Sauce to topping ratio is consistent, although the doughy texture is an aberration to the pizza itself.
Avoid ordering a sandwich with sauce. Not only does your choice come absolutely drenched in sauce, your bread comes needlessly over toasted and unsurprisingly soggy, making for one unappealing sandwich. Perhaps dousing with such a aqueous sauce would serve best as a dipping sauce side? Regardless of the cheap-ish price tag, $10 is better spend at a competing sandwich shop.
The one and, in my opinion, only saving grace for this joint is it's new location. While saving a trip into the valley depths, you have this gem nestled right next to the liquor store. Perhaps as an invitation to drown your taste buds and palette before experiencing what this establishment has to offer.
While I must say that I had high hopes for an independent pizzeria, you're better off going down into the core of Invermere itself to experience quality over...
