We stopped in at the Rocky River Grill after spending a bit of the rainy morning at the local library. The restaurant seemed quite busy for a Tuesday after 1PM. We were seated relatively quickly, but did notice a number of tables that had yet to be cleaned off from past patrons. Our server was very pleasant and the service was quite quick considering that it was busy. My wife enjoyed her pickled Caesar, and I enjoyed the special spiked raspberry lemonade. Our meals were quite enjoyable as well. My wife found her BLT quite tasty, as was my mushroom chicken burger. The kids chose the cheese burgers with fries off of the kids menu, although the patties seemed similar to what you could pick up from the local grocery store frozen foods section, and tasted like it as well. Nonetheless, the kids liked it, so that's all that matters. The portions were also quite large for all of our meals.

Snotty server who thinks talking about why she doesn't want to work to impressionable servers, in front of patrons, is a good idea. Also remember, men aren't the only one's who pay and tip, it's always good to treat the females respectfully as well...which you didn't to our table (me) nor the one beside us. The rest of the servers were absolutely amazing! Theresa needs her attitude figured out. Ps.. I text the # that's on a placard on the tables and got a placid response, so that won't help... Hence the review Went again (01/20/24) absolutely amazing service and great food! There was a female server (not ours) that was snotty to the other staff which absolutely ruins a dining experience, the atmosphere and the workplace. If you're going to be crabby, do it behind closed doors.

It typically takes a lot for me to have to write a review on a restaurant as I work in the industry and have great patience and understanding of how hectic being a server can be. However, tonight my service was simply shocking and unacceptable. Right from the moment we arrived, we stood at the door and got ignored for about 10 minutes until someone finally told us they were cleaning a table for us. Upon being sat, we were confused as servers greeted tables sat after us, while we continued to not be so much as acknowledged. Drinks took a long time, but they were semi-busy so that is expected. Additionally, food took quite awhile considering what we had ordered, then came bland and dry. Once again, being a server myself, dirty plates on a table are never acceptable, but ours sat with us as additional guests for the evening. When we finally had been approached about our bills, our server had charged us alcohol charges on drinks that were not alcoholic. How can an alcoholic daiquiri be the same price as a non-alcoholic pina colada? (We did bring it to the managers attention and he apologized and offered to make it up to us, but we didn’t want that and just needed it to come to his attention) Instead of apologizing for the misunderstanding our server simply brushed it off and blamed it on her POS system, and did nothing to fix it. As I said, I hate having to write reviews like this and don’t get me wrong the blonde girl behind the bar was delightful, and manager was full of energy which is great, but unfortunately for us our server couldn’t even give us a smile until payment came. Overall, not a good experience and last time we were here we had nothing but great things to say. Maybe it was an off day and we completely understand, but when a restaurant is not even 1/3 full and it still takes 20 minutes to get a bill,...

WORST Waitress ever Stayed in the hotel that's attached to the restaurant and I have never been treated more like an outsider, then I did at this location. We visited the restaurant, after being on the road for about 7hrs and needless to say that we were "Hangry". Our waitress came by the table and said that she would be looking after us, with no mention of what her name was. She took my spouses request of a coke, and then took my order for a Corona. My spouse barely had time to say can I add, and the waitress was off, behind the bar. The request was to ask that Spiced Rum be added to the coke. A VERY young looking girl brought the coke and we explained that we wanted to change the order to a Rum & Coke, but our server walked off before anything could be said. Our food arrived with no utensils, and the very young lady, looked so confused as why we didn't have any. At this point, our waitress was literally running back and forth between customers outside on the patio and 2 or 3 tables inside. Not once had our waitress said anything to us, after the food order was taken. By the end of our stay, our waitress had checked on us, only once or twice. We were never asked if we wanted more to drink, after our first drinks, nor how the food was, but she did manage to find time talking to some regulars to the restaurant as they talked about her family and her sister. I have never been treated such as an outsider, as I did that night. I did manage to get a text out to the manager, on an app that is clearly marked on the tables. The complaint was never resolved and the reply we were given was - "I'll take care of it".

The food was fantastic, and restaurant itself was great - its too bad that our waitress delivered sub-par service, expected...

Super disappointed! I have a couple of food allergies so I called last year to see if they could accommodate me. I was told that there were many items that could be made for me including chicken wings, which are one of my favourite foods! This past summer, we went for supper after a day at the beach. On arrival, we ordered a drink and I explained my food allergies to the waitress. After multiple trips to the kitchen, I was told the only thing that I could eat was a salad - without any dressing. The chicken wings were no longer an option, nor was anything else on the menu. I ordered the spinach salad, I was charged $20 instead of the $19 as shown on the menu. I was also charged $2 for g/f bread which I neither ordered nor received. The waitress amended my bill after she double checked the menu to make sure that I was correct. On the table was contact information to send a message to the manager regarding any questions/concerns/comments on your experience. I texted the manager on Aug 2/22 and received notification that my message was sent to the managers at the Rocky River Grill. To date, I have not had a response. As my food issues are challenging, I have NEVER just shown up at a restaurant and demanded that they accommodate me, I always call ahead. To be offered a dry salad that I was overcharged for and then get no response from management shows me that my business is not worth their time. As a local to this area, I will be taking my business to the other restaurants in town that are willing to work with me and offer me more...
