I've been going to the T-Bar for several years now, on an annual weekend basis. My visit in March, 2025 was truly disappointing. Firstly, it took a while to get service. The table service was good for our meal. The food was good. Then it all went downhill from there.
My longtime friend got shaken down by the bartenders at the end of the night. They stopped me on my way out to "pay" for his bill. -- let me backup.
My friend who I coincidentally ran into was being his usual, generous self. We were all having drinks, doing shots, having a great time. He was even buying shots for the bartenders who said "we can't do this with you at the bar but we'll go behind the bar -- out of the camera's view and will do them there".
He was there with another group of people, and had all of his belongings, including his jacket at one of the tables.
It was a busy Friday night, we were all jumping around from table to table, socializing with others, dancing, and drinking... The usual shenanigans that happen in a club atmosphere.
When it came time to pay the bill my friends jacket suddenly went "missing". The bartenders were on him to pay his bill, which is 100% understandable.
At one point the short female bartender came to me whilst sitting at the table and yelled "is that your friend?" To which I replied yes. "He has a tab he needs to pay!!!" I replied telling her yes, I'm aware of that and he will pay it.
The bartenders started yelling at my friend, shaking him down asking how he's going to pay it, where is his jacket, who did he come here from. They were extremely aggressive which was completely unnecessary. My friend in no way whatsoever was belligerent, or argumentative. He understood he had a bill to pay a was searching for his jacket.
At one point he left (probably to see if he could find his jacket on his hotel room). Then he came back, the bartenders were still being really aggressive. I told myself I'm leaving as this was really making me uncomfortable. To add -- I was paying for each drink as I ordered them so I had no tab.
As I walked out of the T-Bar two bartenders stopped me. They asked if I knew this guy and I told them yes. I told them I knew him for many years, I know he has a job that pays very well, and know he's responsible and would not screw them on not paying for his bill. One bartender ran back inside after I said that. The second stayed outside with me and explained that my friend had a tab to pay for. He then continued to say that my friend racked up a big bill, and was buying the bartenders shots, and continued to say "but we didn't drink them." I called him out and told "BS! I was there when he was buying you guys the shots, and I saw you all go behind the bar to drink them!"
He asked me who was going to pay his tab and I reiterated, it wasn't going to be me. I said again I've known my friend for years, and he's never walked out on his bill before, not would have any reason to. He's simply not that kind of person.
I do want to make another note that this particular bartenders pupils were as dark and wide as an owl's. There's no doubt he was under the influence of one type of drug or another.
I told him -- "the whole resort is tied together. You have his name, call the front desk, get his credit card info from them as he's staying at Panorama, charge his card that way."
Then I left.
My friend messaged me a short while after I left and was dumbfounded asking what in the actual world just happened?
He continued to explain to me that after I left, he asked the bartenders to call the police. Long story long, once he threatened to call the police his jacket, a long with his wallet "magically" reappears and therefore, he paid his bill.
These bartenders were 100% trying to shake him down. I also saw them doing the same to another guy who were there that night.
Do not trust these people. Never run a tab.
The next night another friend who went to the T-Bar ordered a spiced rum and coke and was certain it was only coke and no spiced rum was added. But he got charged...
Read moreI feel like this place could be great…but it’s not. After reading the other negative reviews, we decided to try anyway and got our drinks fairly quick. So naturally I thought it wasn’t that bad and maybe people were just being negative. But then we waited for 30 minutes to order food. We finally said something to another waitress and then ours came around. When she came, she acted a bit surprised and asked us if we had wanted food. It was 6:30 pm. Here with three starving teenagers. This isn’t rocket science. Then waited another 40 minutes for food and it was either wrong or undercooked. We had to ask for cutlery and when she brought it, she dropped it in a place that no one could reach and I had to get up and grab it. I felt like the more displeased we were, the less she tried and more passive aggressive she got. Both the kitchen and the waitress were not on the ball this evening. Sitting there bored for well over an hour and a half. We had to say something to get the bill. Then she brought the machine and left. The debit machine timed out as I had to quickly check something with online banking and then we sat there waiting for her to come back. Finally my husband went and stood at the bar with the debit machine hoping someone would help and no one came to him. So then I had to hunt down our waitress to pay the bill. I’m a VERY good tipper in general. Trust me, my husband always gives me a hard time for being so generous. I didn’t tip today. There was nothing about this experience that...
Read moreOrdered takeaway for four as it was our first night at the resort. Not many vegetarian or pescatarian options. I ordered the fish & chips. They put everything together in a small takeaway box. There was one small piece of fish that was way over-battered and just shy of being burnt. The fries were soggy and tepid. They didn't bother to put the coleslaw in its own container so it was just in the corner of the box all warm (and probably contributing to the sogginess of the fries). $22 for this!
The bruschetta (served with pita) was really gross. When they say served with pita they really mean we'll dump some diced tomatoes and onion on pita we took out of a bag. DO NOT ORDER if you really want bruschetta like virtually anywhere else makes it. $18.
One other dish we asked for a salad substitution TWICE on the phone. Was very explicit about it. They said they would but of course they didn't.
The nachos were the only semi-passable item. At least in terms of volume.
The whole experience was off putting. We didn't eat out anywhere else at the resort while we were...
