Ka.ba.ba — Restaurant in Aurora

Food was below average, came in with a group and did not get served despite waiting 3 hours for my food, many of our orders were inaccurate. I confronted the Owner and asked for my order to be cancelled, and he apologized, we later found out he had charged us for meals we did not order and my orders that we had canceled since they had forgotten to make it. They refused to refund the food and began to be disrespectful, claiming he was older and we should just pay him the money and go on with our day. We continued to provide evidence to him that we were over charged and he refused to make up for the overpayment(not to mention the meals are over priced). I told him he could keep the extra money and I would be leaving a review and he instantly snapped grabbed me and told em to get the hell out of his store, I left the store and he continued to yell in the store to remaining clients. Overall a very unprofessional experience, leaving with a empty stomach(despite paying full price for the food we did not receive) and the orders that my peers ate were flavourless. The restaurant is a heritage place. The building is 150 years old and the inside is 90% kept as original 😍. The food is better than any other Persian restaurant to be honest but I'm not a huge fan of Persian food. The hummus is really good! The bread is amazing. The decoration is really good and you would feel you are at home. The place is very quiet and nice. The music is a different level, all cover music! The windows are very big and looking at the street. There are few plants inside and it gives it a great feeling. The flooring is hard wood and clean with a historic texture that I cannot describe in words. The owner is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place to have a nice date, you got this place. I would give it 4.5 but since the owner treated us with baklava so I'm giving it 5 stars 🥰. Do I recommend it... Yes, for sure. It’s was disappointing.

The Iranian lady server = owner was super sweet same as super rude and loud when we asked why the menu price and bill has 10$ difference on each meal😳

The explanation was that the menu will be changed in 2 days, so we are charged based on new prices. Nobody informed us about that fact which is also not right. Not sure if it is following the law btw, It looks like business bureau case.

She started screaming when we asked 20$ difference back , called us cheap and many other words and was trying to record us and running around. Wired 👀 Was trying to scare is with the fact that her brother is police man and I guess that’s the reason she thinks she can just make what ever she wants with the customers money.

Her partner was trying to come her down , gave us 10$ cash which is not even half what we supposed to get back and asked to leave. Meanwhile the woman was screaming!!! Immediately the menu was taken...
