what is this place ever gone downhill . Handling money money and then handling food without washing or gloves giving it to the customers after handling it right in front of them when I was working at a person test for another one person, girl at the till rolling their eyes totally not concerned for the customers you know feelings are disciplined disapproval of disappointment not trying to you know neutralize the the whole situation at all really....I ordered spring rolls tater totsonion rings cost me like 15 bucks for those three things and it was hardly anything I was hungry still after. a large onion rings was tiny very greasy no plum sauce for those spring rolls.... total just not feeling it at all probably not ever going to go back there that's the one on 118th Ave I got places to be great and you know I got fun memories of that place was just like I don't know maybe it was just about off day for them like the other people were really upset they were being a little bit rude to they'll say that they were a little rude and kind of like if I work there in my head I'd be like well you know this on you last this way but still customers right the hell. They did make the burger another one for her and stuff but it was more attitude and just not trying to not trying neutralizer you don't make the customer feel importantThen they wouldn't bring it out to her weather replacement Burger was made making her trying to make her going I went and brought to her whatever because my stuff was getting it was finished at the same time or whatever is no big deal just a girl is not a customer relations assettreating it like selling point six is 4 grams of expecting people to come back and form or take sometimes they will but it's either you're not selling them the point 6 to get return customers and again young girl no concept of you know hospitality type setting doesn't give a care obviously she's laughing and smiling about it to the person just just a joke you know what I mean like there's those people will probably never go back to that place again and I know like she doesn't care that family could be go have going there for 40 years before but there's somebody that does there isn't a wandering somewhere there maybe even was in the kitchen today maybe they don't care either I don't know what's going on with the situation but definitely room for improvement there I would say I'm not going back but that's just me I just thought it was a bad choice for me anyways really cuz of me trying to go into a more different type of diet not eating animals and stuff it's like well you don't go to Burger Baron naughty animals Jeju you can but it's just better choices cuz there's like a while just get some onion rings that's hungry and just...
Read moreOne of the easiest five star experiences I had in a long time visiting this Burger Baron today for a late lunch! I’ve been seeing this chain of Burger restaurants everywhere in Edmonton and have always been wanting to try it. So glad I did today, easily one of the best decisions I made in my life because I don’t think I can visit any McDonald’s or any other fast food chain of burger restaurants after. This place did not disappoint one bit!
In terms of customer service, food quality and excellence this location hit the nail on the head. Our server Helen did a world class job assisting my friend and I because we had never been to any Burger Baron before and it was our first time, so I personally had a lot of questions I needed to have answered. Helen was super kind and assisted us to the best of her abilities which I genuinely appreciated. I took all her recommendations and loved every single one of them! I had the popular mushroom burger with corn fitters and my friend got the double burger with bacon combo.
The burger I choose was so scrumptious I enjoyed every second of eating it! Also the corn fritters which I tried for the absolute first time was beyond exceptional. My friend loved his choice as well!
In conclusion I am very impressed with this Burger Baron restaurant it gives a nice drive in dinner feel along with great service by its staff. I will definitely be visiting this place again sooner than later since I strongly believe it is my now new favourite fast food joint! Have to try out a lot more of the vast menu items they...
Read moreOkay, for those of you born after the seventies, the Baron is firmly entrenched in this era.
Driving up, it's not the fancy electronics of Micky D's, it's a painted menu on a warped board likely using a lead based paint. The 70s were about smoking, leaded gasoline and 8 tracks, and screw the consequences.
There is a tiny speaker with 60 layers of paint. It quacked what I assumed was take your order? I ordered a single cheeseburger with tots. The speaker squeaked again, I still didn't have a clue, so I said yes.
Pulling up to the window, a sign casually informed me that the price of their beef patties went up by 25 cents. Had this been the 70's, there would have been an uproar however this is 2024, and the price didn't triple overnight.
The guy behind the speaker confirmed I ordered a double mushroom burger. I said no, I ordered a single. His reply was that his team was already making the double mushroom. I said find, I would take the burger. I didn't want to be responsible for putting them out of business. He handed me a paper bag with my order, and I drove off.
I pulled over and hauled the burger out of the bag. The patties were grey. No, they were grey. I had never seen grey patties, but perhaps they were using meat from the 70's. That would explain the color, and as I took a bite, it tasted exactly like it looked. If I were to imagine what botulism tasted like this would be it, and I got 2 patties. I couldn't finish the burger, and I was calculating the distance...
