Great coffee and a very simple place, but coffee speaks volumes. A nice little cafe in baddeck on old margaree rd near the Alexander Graham bell historic site. Coffee was nice. Tried the dragons breath roast which is a dark roast. Nice strong flavour that doesn’t leave any bitter aftertaste. Service was good. Nothing bad to say there and nothing that stood out, which is always good. But everyone here seemed super nice. There is also a little patio out front to enjoy the cozy heritage feel of the strip while enjoying your coffee as well. There’s a little parking lot in front as it is in a little strip of stores, but seems to fill up quickly so you may have to resort to street parking. Great job

Love this cozy cafe! Squares from coconut, condense milk with chok picks jus perfect for my sweet tooth!) Chicken club sendwich was yammy and filled me for the whole day! Lovely and friendly personal, flying like a bees around ! Highly recommending to visit this cute cafe! I even purchased a t-shirt, beautiful colour "Bean there", as I've been there;)

We were only in town a couple days but love to support local independent coffee shops so stopped in here to get a couple drinks. We got a flat white and a decaf oat milk latte and sat outside at one of the tables on their patio on a beautiful day. There’s some seating inside as well but not much. Friendly staff and good coffee. Definitely recommend!

If you find yourself in Baddeck, Bean There Coffee Shop is a must-visit for any coffee aficionado. This charming spot is more than just a place to grab your caffeine fix—it’s an experience. The moment you step through the door, the rich aroma of freshly ground coffee beans greets you, setting the stage for a delightful visit. The cozy, eclectic decor makes it feel like a home away from home, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

The menu is a coffee lover’s dream come true. From classic espressos to inventive seasonal specials, every cup is brewed with high-quality beans roasted to perfection. The signature blend is a standout—smooth, rich, and absolutely worth every sip.

And let’s not forget the pastries! Their scones and muffins are the ideal treat to accompany your brew. The service is as warm as the ambiance, with friendly baristas who are always ready with a recommendation.

Whether you’re catching up with friends or just enjoying some downtime, Bean There Coffee Shop in Baddeck is the perfect spot to savor...

The café has a cozy vibe and friendly staff, but I was a bit let down by the espresso. It was quite far off from a true Italian espresso—lacking the balance, body, and crema you'd expect. If you're aiming for that authentic profile, I’d recommend checking out James Hoffmann on YouTube. He shares a wealth of knowledge on espresso technique and dialing in your grind settings.

Since you use locally roasted beans and a good portafilter, there's definitely potential to elevate the shot. The espresso I had poured very quickly and lacked structure—more like a thin stream than a well-extracted shot. A bit more experimentation with the grinder dial could help bring out the richness and depth that Italian espresso is known for. Looking forward to seeing how...
