WOW! YOU'GOTTA EAT HERE 👌🏽
If you follow me, you know that I am a true pizza lover and I am always on the lookout for the next best pie around.
Now, in order to truly get the best bite, you have to eat it on the spot, none of this driving home for 10 minutes while the pizza cools down and looses it's flavor. Trust me, it was exquisite.
They have unbelievable pizza specials on Tuesdays, and as luck would have it, I arrived on a Tuesday and ordered the following pies:
Canadian - $12 Tuesday (large $5 extra) Pepperoni, Bacon, Mushroom, Stanislaus tomato sauce, Saputo mozzarella
My Honey's Hot Specialty - $13 Tuesday (large $6 extra) House made double fennel kinda spicy sausage, mozzarella, red onion, jalapeno, and local honey.
The pizza crust is the key, airy, fluffy, light, yet strong enough to hold it all together. They don't go crazy on the toppings, which allows you to taste all the ingredients. If you want it cheesy like I normally order, you'll probably have to say extra cheese x 2 to get the stringy cheese level.
Minimal seating. Paid street parking (I parked and ran in). Good customer service.
The garlic dip was extraordinary, and their dipping sauces are all made in-house.
Give them a try, will not disappoint. I'll...
Read moreFood was fine. However, was disgusted by an interaction I witnessed. A man came in and ordered a few pizzas and said he was going to feed the homeless. The blonde lady that worked there asked “why? They get fed breakfast lunch and dinner, you know that right” he responded something I didn’t hear and she said “alright” in a judgemental tone. In this climate, I’m not sure why we’re judging and discouraging someone from feeding the HOMELESS. I’m not one to complain about prices especially from small businesses, however, that man could have easily gone to a chain pizza place and gotten a lot more pizza for the same price, instead he went to a small business and was made to feel judged for doing a good deed. I don’t want to give the entire business a bad image if this was just the unsolicited opinion of 1 employee (assuming she isn’t the owner). I would suggest to refrain making insensitive and rude comments like this, again, especially to someone doing a good deed. It’s bad for business and not a good look for the company or just as a...
Read moreWe parked in the nearby underground garage and as soon as we got out of our car we could smell the most incredible fresh baked pizza smell. We then emerged from the parking garage and did a quick Google search at which point we discovered Jimmy Chews.
After a hearty 3 km walk, we circled back to Jimmy Chews and walked in to place an order for a large Rocket Ham Specialty Pizza. Less than 10 minutes later, we beheld the glory of a hot pizza pie with a small box of fresh arugula waiting to be added on top.
The pizza was absolute incredible. We felt like we had gone to heaven. The tomato sauce was fresh, the prosciutto was perfectly salty, and they shaved Parmesan was delectable.
All in all it was a wonderful pizza experience. Do yourself a favour and give it a try. Well done...
