An Unforgettable 30th Birthday Celebration at Linx Kitchen Social! For my wife’s 30th birthday, we hosted a spectacular party at Linx Kitchen Social on King Street in Barrie, and it exceeded all our expectations! We had more than 50 guests, and everyone was amazed by the custom-tailored menu, perfectly executed under the expert supervision of head chef Kathleen. The dishes were divine, making every bite a delight. The venue's state-of-the-art golf simulator was a major hit, providing unique entertainment that added an extra layer of fun to the festivities. Combined with a live band and stunning decorations, the atmosphere was vibrant and thoroughly enjoyable. Candice, Kathleen, and the entire team at Linx Kitchen Social were incredible. Their attention to detail and commitment to service ensured that the event was seamless and memorable. Thank you to the whole crew at Linx Kitchen Social for making my wife’s milestone birthday truly special. We highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to host an event that is both impressive and stress-free.

We went to this restaurant today May 20th, 2022 after reading the reviews online and their upscale dining experience. our appetizers were good, However the main dish which was medium rare duck was very chewy and dry. I complained to the waitress, a few mins later the woman came and asked what was wrong with the food and I explained to her. Apparently she was the CHEF and told me that that's how she cooks and has been cooking a duck for the past few years and has not received any complaints nor anyone sent the dish back. She has the audacity to ask me: "IF I HAVE EVER EATEN A DUCK BEFORE" I replied to her politely and said I have, that's the reason I am complaining.... I ended up sending the dish back. I have shared my experience on Instagram and tag them where they have blocked me. Which is not a good sign. I would say my overall experience wasn't great.

By far the best place I’ve found in Barrie. At the beginning me and wife were a lottle skeptical to give it a try, but for me personally A GREAT FINE DINNING. Thanks to Austin we’ve been seated at a great table and got an amazing service. Even though there is no kids menu, and we needed it, we got some options that our boys liked. To be honest, at first I was getting a little impatient about the timing food is being prepared, don’t be. It is absolutely worth the wait, because it tasted great and plates were looking amazing. Koodos to chef, and regretfully I wish I could say a Thank You to him. Thanks to the owner of the place for creating such a nice place in Barrie.

Staff was nice and accommodating. It’s nice inside.

Went with a group they did a buffet style for the food, tacos weren’t that great and the wings were pretty dry. Also had a flatbread like a rock with no flavour and some cherry tomatoes and feta on top. The drinks were also all ice and not cheap. I was going to ask for light ice but it was pretty hot in there at one point so I just stuck with the glass full of ice.

I never used a simulator but it didn’t feel consistent. Balls kept getting stuck and the tee wouldn't pop up automatically. The grass sand and rough was a little warn out so every shot was the ball would register then not register sometimes when a ball was hit would not register, we would have to grab another ball and set it ourself. I think they might of actually had to many balls in pit for the feeder. You are definitely paying a premium for this to load your ball and the floor to move and those features weren’t that great… the swing plate shifting and changing angle is a cool feature sure but wears off pretty quick.

Driving range worked the best compared to the courses we played. Still found most of the shots were not registering the distance. Could do 3 of the same drives in a row and have a 30-150 yard difference randomly.

Maybe these need to be calibrated every so often. Everyone else in the group was saying it was a lot harder than real golf, clubs we knew we were consistent on would all fall very short.

I would say it’s best to go with a group. When the simulator is $60 an hour plus tax. One round took about an hour with 4 of us. Definitely warm up with about 30 minutes on the driving range first and get a feel for the sim if you have never been to one. Maybe try playing an easier course as well at first.

We also didn’t notify the staff about issues we were having. Its golf and some one in your party will always have an excuse when they aren’t playing so well, I’m sure they have heard pretty much every...

Very disappointed with this entire experience. I was very excited to try this place for the first time but my recent experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

We planned a friends birthday celebration with a larger group. This was planned 4 weeks in advance so they could staff properly for this group. The simulator was great and everyone enjoyed this aspect. It was the service we received afterwards. We had our table go 30 minutes without being greeted. Only a handful of us received drinks, while others were empty handed. We pulled the manager (who we found out later was actually the OWNER) and mentioned the delays in service and she was extremely rude and unapologetic. She never apologized, took ownership and only had poor things to about the only staff member working. We had a handful of us leave to eat else where due to lack of service. Only half of us got to eat. When food touched our table others still DIDNT have drinks! We ordered app and mains, which came at the same time. Some of our tables food never touched the table.

Food and simulator, zero complaints. Every complaint about the lack of organization of staff for a large party. This place isn't cheap. The golf isn't cheap. The drinks aren't cheap. The food isn't cheap. For a large group to have made reservations and pay a lot of money to be there should get reasonable service. It was no surprise we were coming and at what time we were coming. It should have been staffed accordingly for the event. The owner heard our complaints and responded with negative comment about her staff. I won't be back...

Linx Kitchen and social. A wonderful proposition for a business and at first glance everything seems nice and enjoyable. In fact the first few experiences were by all measure very good. As they've established a more regular customer base though it seems they don't feel the need to impress that customer base any longer. The last two experiences have been quite the opposite. While the facility and particularly the simulators are top quality and while most of the staff are beyond exceptional the management and their approach to customers is well below acceptable. Twice they cut our session short of the time we paid for. The most recent experience had them tell us we could extend our stay to 10 o'clock which was closing time only to tell us we had to leave early after we had paid for the evening. Let me make clear I have no issues with this had we been told this was the case when we booked the time or had the price of our session been prorated based on the reduced time but none of this was presented to us until we were very rudely told we had to leave immediately. When asked why we weren't told of the policy prior to them letting us book the time slot we were given no explanation, or reparation. We have been many times the last few weeks and have brought a large number of friends who have become somewhat regular patrons as well, that said after these past few experiences it's hard to get the bad taste out of our mouths. A great business is only great if you get what you pay for and this just has not been the case at...
