The Irie Jerk — Restaurant in Barrie

I came to this establishment last weekend with my family. We came for a late dinner. We were shopping decided to pop in. The young lady at the front came off rude. Didn't suggest anything, specials, etc. So I ignored it. I asked for festivals, I wanted 2 orders, the girl in the back said she would make the fresh.... They were stale like been sitting around all day and they were not even warm. But she was super nice I cannot bad her up as we say...... But I'd rather her say, we are out of the item then pay for something that was not satisfying. But her intentions were good!

The Jerk was a large order and the portion of the chicken was small, I had no sauce on my rice and was never offered it again poor serivce. We ordereda large oxtail too, but it had too much sauce the rice was swimming in it.... However the oxtail was good!

Spent about 50 dollars and I always tip and its alot considering the quality and small quantitiy for a large. I told my wife we should have went with her choice, Kelsey's and I do not like that place. But i can say they cannot mess up a burger. Anyways I won't come back.

Caribbean food is not easy to make but if it's going to half quality don't serve it. Say we are out or give me a heads up. If it was 20 dollars...

My review is regarding food bought from The Irie Jerk Restaurant purchased while they were selling at TD Jerkfest - at Centennial Park on Sunday August 13. I purchased a small, what was supposed to have been "jerk chicken" and plain rice. The chicken did not taste like jerk but rather stewed chicken with scotch bonnet pepper rubbed on it. The rice was between cooked and not.....with uncooked grains through out. The meal was $10 for (1 piece of chicken ie. the upper part of the leg only + plain rice). The chicken was over cooked one side hard and the other side black literally burnt. I was so upset that a supposed known business would dear to sell a meal to anyone in such a condition. I'll tell you the portion size was not worth $10. I definitely would not purchase food from this restaurant ever again, whether at a festival, nor from their restaurant.

I had great customer service everyone was so nice, however a Uber/skip driver came in as I was just waiting for my order, and asked to use the bathroom after asking for his delivery order. The cashier told him he’s not exactly a customer because he was here to DELIVER for another individual. An order which was ready at the counter so no wait was needed, he would have to make a purchase on a water like any other restaurant I’ve been to in order to use it. His KAREN behaviour takes over and was so outraged by a common restaurant policy and yells at cashier tells her he’s a customer because he’s delivering to a customer which he claims is the same thing.(He has no intention to order or pay for anything) Then proceeds to tell the cashier he’s gonna write a bad review with one star. P.s it seems like the guy with the one star Archil Patel, because his story is too similar to how my...
