Dosa Eatery Barrie — Restaurant in Barrie

😡😡Today I visited to dosa eatery at 10:28 pm and they are closed at 11:00pm (it’s a Saturday) MAIN POINT:- OWNER WAS PRESENT

We ordered the food and at that time they told us that they only give us take out because it was the closing time and some other customers are also present , so we thought everyone will get the takeout order

We were sitting there and waiting for food , we were there till 11:16 They allow dine in to other customers at 10:50pm

So we talk to manager that why it is like that they can dine in and we can’t So manager gave the answer like They order the food just before 15 minutes earlier to us And other answer was other customers are the relative so they can dine in and we were guest so we can’t 😤 Main point another answer was they have to clean the tables and utensils

If they can clean the tables and utensils for relatives , why can’t for us

So kindly request you to just allow the relatives only So you can give proper treatment to your relatives

Main thing , we are the regular customers over there and every month we visit over there OWNER WAS ALSO NOT READY TO ANSWER US AND SHE...

12 of my family members came here Sunday morning for a late lunch around 12:15 noon. On the website, it has said they open at 11 AM, Plus, my sister had called them to ask for store hours as well - (on the same day and the night before). As we go to the front door, we realized the lights are on inside and the door is locked and people were inside still. Tables were set up, but it looked like staff was just arriving or hadn’t opened yet.

My sister then proceeds to call them again and somebody answered the phone saying: “Sorry they’re not open right now due to technical difficulties”. This was extremely frustrating as we were livid because prior we were told they were open. We had come out of our way on a far commute just to come to this place after an event in the morning and traveling with two children. Moving forward, this eatery needs to learn how to address open and closing times properly if they really want to continue having good business.

I recently visited Dosa Eatery with a group of four and ordered four sets of masala dosa with vada combo. Unfortunately, our experience with the service was not great.

Initially, we were served only one set after a 15-minute wait, followed by three more sets later on. By the time we received the additional dosas, the first one had already gone cold. When we asked the serving lady to reheat it, she informed us that they could only make two dosas at a time and couldn't reheat them. This was disappointing as we had no other option but to eat a cold dosa.

I would advise future visitors to be aware that if you order more than two dosas at once, it may take additional time. Make sure to specify that you'd like all items served together when ordering.

On a positive note, the food itself was tasty, but the service definitely needs improvement to keep up with demand. If they can work on timing and be a little faster, this place could...
