Ordered UberEats from here a couple days ago. I called the restaurant ahead of time to ask if their dishes could be made vegan. The young lady on the phone was very pleasant and helpful, and wrote down my questions so that she could go and ask the kitchen staff for me. Luckily she said all the dishes I asked about can be made vegan. I ended up ordering the veggie spring rolls, green curry with tofu, and vegetable fried rice. I hate to say it but the only dish I enjoyed and that was actually tasty was the green curry with tofu. The veg spring rolls were packed with glass noodles and very little bits of mushroom and carrot, and was completely flavourless. The vegetable fried rice was kind of sad looking and colourless. I don’t even think any soy sauce was added… which is kind of crucial to a fried rice, no? It was flavourless as well, lacking any salt and pepper even. The green curry with tofu was actually nice to my surprise, and was flavourful with a nice balance of sweetness from the coconut milk and some light spice. The spice could be more but I understand not everyone is used to spice, maybe the restaurant could offer different spice levels for dishes for their customers. I appreciate the restaurant’s helpful staff and service but their food could definitely be improved.

** Full Disclosure.....I'm a Pad Thai addict ** I have traveled all over the US and Canada eating Pad Thai. I had high hopes for this place but was so disappointed. The young man attending to my needs did a fine job. The crispy veg spring roll fell short, having really no veg and really only glass noodles, as you can see in the pic. Now for the main "Pad Thai" it was flavorless and very oily. In all the years of eating Pad Thai it's never been this greasey. Also I asked for medium heat but it was so overwhelmingly hot it kept making me caught, and I consider myself to have decent spice tolerance. Finally the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and they had good water. Maybe the other dishes are fine so definitely worth a try. Oh and I wanted to be honest and up front so everything I said here I passed on to my server AFTER receiving the bill so they didn't think i was trying to get a discount/free meal, but they insisted on comping the dish, so at least there's that.

Last long weekend before the summer ends and school starts, we had been to Orilla parks and to the lake and then to Barrie waterfront , had a wonderful day at both the places ,we walked till our legs hurt... Then we got a recommendation from one of the friends to visit this place... Everything here is so perfect and droolworthy that you would love each and every bite of it.You will relish it to a larger extent , huge portions..Authentic Thai taste...Lovely decor... Highly recommended if anyone is in and around Barrie.... The chicken Tom Yum Soup had the perfect stint of lemongrass and turmeric and a little squeeze of lemon.. The cashwes nuts and stir fry came i loaded with chicken ,cashews and veggies.. with the thick sweet and sour curry or sauce base.. Everything we were served was just awesome and value for money.. one should visit this place 👍 Will definitely go back again.

I have been going here on and off for years. I live in the North End, so I don't get there often. Huge portions and good food. However, if you only ever eat Pad Thai at Thai Restaurants, I think theirs is too sweet, much better pad Thai at other locations. But this location has some other dishes that are great. So, I really have no issues with the food at all.

However, my issue is a couple of days ago I tried to call in a takeout/delivery. No answer, so I called again, no answer. I thought, okay, maybe they are just busy? I waited a bit and called again. No answer. So, I left a message saying that I'd wait about 20 mins and see if they call me back, if not I'll call again or order from somewhere else. So, 20 mins later no call. I called again, this time I got a sound of it hanging up on me. I thought, weird. So, I called again, and this time I got a fax machine sound. Okay, so at least I know they are open I guess. I thought I'd try one more time, so I called yet AGAIN. Someone FINALLY answered. This was all in about an hour. The person I spoke with was friendly when we first spoke. But I was a little peeved. I mean, I had been calling for an hour. On a side note, I've also worked in the service restaurant industry for 15 years and I know what its like when is busy. And I wanted to be sympathetic. But, being as I was trying to be a customer I thought they would have liked to have known what was going on from mine (a customers) perspective. After and during me trying to explain all I was getting was excuses and more excuses. Either trying to cover up the issue or placing blame. I was just trying to let them know what was happening, and yes I understood that they were busy, but for future reference maybe to think of a better way of dealing with takeout or delivery situations. I was even accused of normally calling in takeout orders at chain restaurants and was told because they are local that they are smaller and don't have the staff. I was upset at this comment because I do support local and usually only ever eat at local restaurants. I don't like supporting big chain restaurants. There was just a lot of excuses and blaming. I was even hat upset about them not answering the phone. I told the person on the phone this, that I was getting more and more upset because of her, not even the initial issue.

Not to mention, when I did finally get through I wanted delivery and they don't have delivery until 4pm, I was calling between 12:30 and 1:45ishpm. So, with me calling all that time to find out I couldn't even get delivery was a bit of a frustration. It wasn't posted on their website (that I could find) and it was not stated in their answering machine.

If you going to offer takeout and/or delivery maybe rethink your system. And if this was just a hiccup and a one time thing, maybe have someone on the phone that can better handle customer service. She said she had been there for 7 years. But not only have you lost my customer service, I know people close to me will second guess going back there now. I don't like supporting places that treat customers this way. None of what happened was mine fault, but I felt like the whole time I was being blamed for even just trying to order from this restaurant....

I use to enjoy this restaurant, until my family went for dinner last weekend March 20th 2016. They were dressed up nicely and they are all very pretty ladies of Asian decent what they experienced was table adjacent with Caucasian women throwing carrots at them more than once and laughing about it... My family were embarrassed and did not know how to handle the situation and did not want to cause trouble. The server said she spoke to the people and they denied it of course, also this supervisor/server said that she investigated and did not find any evidence to support the complaint. My family left the thrown good on the table and it was dismissed. I asked to speak to the owner "Hope" The supervisor said she would leave a message to return my call. I received no return call. Days have past I tried to call one more time and l was blocked not to speak to any management regarding this complaint. These people causing the problem were defended by the supervisor "these people are regulars" well regulars or not they should have be asked to leave. I or anyone close to me will not return to this establishment. I find this being discriminatory and or jealousy, it's really a shame cause we bought food for takeout and dined in many times as well... I don't want or need anything out of this just maybe make someone...
