Was in town for work and was craving some Asian food. Had a decent rating and was open late so decided to order one of the box combos. Subbed out the wings for general tao chicken. Overall, food was subpar. I don't have huge expectations when it comes to these places, but it should at least be good. The general tao chicken was the best part of this meal - which sounds great until you realize they basically slather their chicken with bbq sauce. There was barely any spice at all on it. The broccoli beef also had potential - too bad it was literally 98% broccoli to 2% beef. The sauce on it was also quite soy saucy. Edible, but could use more than 3 small strips of beef. Lastly, the chicken dried rice. I've had other fried rice from Asian places in Toronto, and they usually add the odd vegetable (peas, carrot, etc) in the rice. This was mostly rice with the odd miniscule piece of chicken. It wasn't terrible, but quite bland. If I got hot sauce it may have been a little more enjoyable. The egg roll wasn't bad, on par with other egg rolls I've had elsewhere. Overall, lacklustre, but if you want a mildly irritated stomach and craving some mediocre Asian in...
Read moreNo value for money, do not eat or order here. Go down the road to the Mandarin, combos are 2$ more but you get way more food! Ordered a number 2 combo got 3 chicken balls with a dice sized chicken chunk inside, a cup of rice (It was over cooked, soft and had no texture). A cup of chicken and bean sprouts which also had no flavor (A theme here) and where drenched in what I think was an attempt at a sauce overly watered down. 20 frikkin bucks I feel taken advantage of....what, never again! Dragon Wok is far better........far better! The only reason for going there was I ordered on Tuesday and dragon wok was closed. So sad, I mean come on guys its rice and bean sprouts, at least make the portions sizeable! The Lady at the counter was very nice, but I come for the food not the conversations! Bit me once but will never again, and spend some money on your décor. Last thing no bathroom to use, food code violation. If your selling food for eat-in you NEED to provide a useable bathroom for customers, may even...
Read moreIf you look closely to the picture, its hard to tell that these 3 dishes are different.
I ordered: -Sze Chuan beef -Seafood lover -Shrimp Vegetable
Instead I got: Vegetable with Beef (did not even taste like Sze Chuan) Vegetable with seafood (Tasted only celery) Vegetable with shrimp (guess what it tasted)
I understand that the owner must balance the amount of meat and veggies to make some profit, but in each dishes, it was 1/3 meat, 2/3 greens.
Plus the amount of celery in it, is insane. Celery is very cheap and voluminous, but do not forget it has a very strong taste.
This shows that the owner of the restaurant is not taking into consideration the satisfaction at all, but looking only for his pocket.
That's how you loose customers.
It was not my first, but second time trying at the restaurant. My disappointment was worst on the second time.
Never ever gonna...
