Awful Takeout Experience – Disappointing in Every Way

I almost never leave reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was so poor that I feel compelled to share it.

I tried to order online, but their website wasn’t working, so I called to place the order. The waitress seemed lost and unfamiliar with the menu. When I went to pick up my food, it wasn’t even processed correctly. The order was wrong, and the waitress, who appeared to be new and untrained, couldn’t offer any assistance.

To make matters worse, the food was absolutely awful. I had one of the worst Greek meals I’ve ever had. My pita had almost no meat in it—literally only 3 tiny pieces of chicken and/or pork. There was barely any tzatziki, and the vegetables (a thin slice of tomato and one slice of onion) were lackluster. Everything was tasteless and cold.

I paid $100 for two 1-pita plates, two fake gyro pork pitas, and a SVK salad with the tiniest piece of feta. Overall, it was a completely disappointing experience.

I honestly feel bad for the waitress since she seemed untrained, but that doesn’t change the fact that the food and service were subpar. I will not be coming...

My daughter started feeling nauseous right after her meal. About 40 min later, after we left the restaurant, she started vomiting multiple times. It was clearly a food poisoning. I returned to the restaurant, asked to see the manager, and explained to him that I understand that it can happen that your food wasn't fresh, but I don't feel like paying for the meal that made my child sick. And that's where it started. Him and the waitress that was serving us earlier and was generously tipped started screaming at me instead of apologizing. The manager called someone on the phone, I assumed the owner. He was holding the phone in my face while screaming and was recording our conversation. He returned my money, saying, " You clearly need this money. These people weren't my level for me to answer to them back or raise my voice, but as Souvlaki bar is a franchise, I really hope that they hire appropriate people and improve their services. I left the place disgusted...

When Souvlaki Bar opened in Boisbriand I was very excited given that I am a strong supporter of their brand, consistency and quality. Unfortunately, this was not the case at this location. The first time I ordered food for takeout, they messed up on the order. To their credit, they were very apologetic and made up by treating me with a dessert. That said, the chicken gyros was extremely dry and tasteless. I figured that it was just because the staff was new and needed to be trained and that is always understandable and I decided to continue my support by trying again in a few weeks. I tried a second time. This time, the chicken gyros continued to be dry and tasteless but the worst part was the preparation in the pita. There was literally hardly any amount of gyro in the pitas. Instead, the pitas were filled with tzatziki and and evidence of the gyro was slightly evident..... Unfortunately, my confidence in this branch has been deflated..... very...
