Hamachi Sushi — Restaurant in Boucherville

We loved our experience at this authentic Japanese Restaurant. I’m pregnant, but I can’t stay away from sushi! So we picked a sushi place that was recommended to us, as having really fresh fish. The chef came to see us and suggested a special menu. Since it was our 1st time and my husband only goes for me (doesn’t like sushi) we went with a la carte options. He got a chicken teriyaki that was extremely tasty. The meal was warm, had a good amount of rice and delicious chicken and a very generous amount of sautéed veggies. Needless to say he was really happy with his choice. I had the 17 piece sushi combo, which contained mostly sashimi and maki sushi. The ensemble was just exquisite! The fish melts in your mouth, even the soy sauce, the ginger and wasabi were really really good. Prior to that, I had a soup that contained pieces of fish, scallops and shrimp that was suggested by the chef himself. As soon as I took a bite, I teared up for how good it was. As a side note, it may have been my hormones acting up, but nonetheless, it was out of this world delicious! We will be visiting Hamachi Sushi again and again in the future! Update: After two years of enjoying take-out from Hamachi Sushi, we went there for dinner on our wedding anniversary. Chef Danh welcomed us as we sat at the sushi bar and offered us the chef's selection dinner. What followed was an extraordinary evening of astonishing plates with the best possible sashimi and rolls that culminated with the delicious and astounding plate pictured here. Everything was personalized and the chef and staff were so pleasant and attentive that they offered us an unforgettable experience. This is absolutely the best sushi we've ever had, and the atmosphere they created was on par. Thank you, chef Danh and everyone, for a superb anniversary! No matter where you live in Montreal, or if you're visiting, you should absolutely put Hamachi Sushi on your dining list. This might be the best sushi we've ever had, and we love sushi. There isn't a roll that we've tried yet that doesn't make us praise the chefs. The order is always ready on time, although in these times it would be understandable if it took longer. The prices are also very reasonable, given the huge and extremely tasty food. I couldn't recommend Hamachi...

Wow!! My husband and I have been living in Boucherville for little more than 1 year now. We were referred to try this Sushi place and I am speechless. I have allergies to everything that has to do with sesame seeds and I can FINALLY eat in peace without being afraid. The lady who served me took her time to explain exactly the different types of choices they have as well made our order the way we wanted it exactly. Very honest people especially one lady chef she took her time to make the order with a presentation as well the sushi. My husband and I always ate from Kanda back in Montreal t'ill now as well but this place I give it a 10 star rating on 5. Wish google had the choice of a 10 star rating. Amazing place very clean and the fish tank gives the restaurant a calm ocean vybz especially while waiting for your order. Soya sauce was amazing finally found a place where I can eat it... the fried shrimp presentation on the sushi was delicious... everything was amazing honestly I can only say BEST SUSHI PLACE IN THE RIVESUD!
