I refuse to give this restaurant any stars at all. To begin with, our table was still dirty from another function when we arrived and when they cleared off the decorations on it they didn't bother to wipe it down and we had to ask for dishes and cutlery. As first impressions go...not a good start at all. The food is sub-par to say the least, my sister in law and my mom both ordered the fettuccine alfredo, mom's came out just fine but my sister in law barely had any sauce and the chicken bits were burnt taking away any flavour they had. When she brought it up to the server the chef covered the remnants of her pasta with a mushroom sauce... sorry but if I ordered fettuccine alfredo, I expect to have alfredo sauce not mushroom. Their kitchen is set up that patrons can see into it and the chef waved her off as though he were upset that his dish came back. No pride in his work at all, it makes me question where he went to culinary school or if he went at all. On a side note, you cannot call yourself an Italian restaurant if you're using store bought ingredients to make your food, the sauce tasted as though it had just come out of a can, the pasta was clearly store bought boxed pasta which I cook at home, nothing made in house, cans of sauce and diced tomatoes clearly displayed, and the bruschetta was soggy and covered in cheese (I've never known bruschetta to have cheese on it). The service was extremely poor, we were given small glasses of water with no refills, and no one came to ask if we needed anything or how our food was while we were eating. Once our orders were brought to the table it was as though they'd completely forgotten we were there, the server didn't even come to ask if we wanted our bill, we had to get up from our table and go to the register to pay for the meal. When asked if we enjoyed ourselves we voiced our complaints to our server only to get a smug smile from her, no apology or effort to let the management know the poor experience we had. The live entertainment, if you want to call it that, was a man playing guitar who sounded as though he were in so much pain doing so. No expression in his singing or playing, flat sounds the whole time making our night even more of a disappointment. This was the first and last time I'll ever be going here, you can't pay me enough to...
Read moreThis place is a disaster. Our table was dirty on our arrival. I really don't know what look they are going for with the decoration but it needs to be re-evaluated. The waitress was a complete mess. Asked us several times what our order is. In the middle of our service she decided to go and deliver food that the skip the dishes guy messed up. While I appreciate her fixing this issue for the person ordering over the phone, what about the people sitting inside your restaurant. She came back smelling like an ash tray, that was disgusting to say the least.
During dinner I decided to go to the restroom. Well what I believed was the restroom. I entered through an opening which had no markings on it. This ended up being the staff area and the entrance to the kitchen. There were several pots on the ground with food in it. I am pretty sure that's a health violation but I did not make an issue of it since I am not too familiar with the health code. Please put a sign on that entrance, there were several people that made the same mistake. Clearly it's an issue.
Food is sub-par at best. Anyone on here who praises their food really needs to go and have some Italian food somewhere other than East Side Mario's or the food court. You are probably the same person that goes to Olive Garden and thinks its fantastic every time you travel to the US. Sad really.
Food is over cooked with minimal flavour. I had the penne a la vodka and bruschetta.
Here is my true rating for what its worth.
Service 1 out of 5 (hire someone with experience if you want to continue to be in business)
Food 2 out of 5 They try to compensate by over size portions vs flavour.
Ambience 3 out of 5 Still trying to figure it out. Italian, Middle eastern or ???
Price 4 out of 5 Cheap dining. For those looking to take their in-laws out at least you won't go broke :)
Soon as a decent Italian restaurant opens up in West Bradford this place is done. It's just a fact. You can't survive by a few repeat customers who have no idea what they are talking about.
Yes this review might be a bit harsh, but its honest. I have no restaurant in town and no affiliation with any business in town. I'm just a guy who...
Read moreGoing to give this two stars because there was one waitress, and I’m assuming she was getting overworked so not being too harsh.
The wait time for food was long on a Sunday, but the pizza was almost worth the wait. After eating more than half the pizza, we saw a dead fly on the pizza. After informing the waitress, she said it was because the window was open. But, the fly was burnt to a crisp and it was definitely on it when it was being baked. She admitted to being in the wrong and took the pizza, but didn’t replace it and later even tried to get us to pay for something we didn’t even fully eat.
We also got the ricotta ravioli with vegetables, but the filling tasted like powdered cheese. The pesto rosè sauce was excellent but the ravioli itself was not good.
Lastly, we got the vegetable penne with tomato sauce and that was quite good. I don’t post a lot of reviews but the chef of the restaurant gave a lot of attitude to us when paying the bill. Said a fly is a fly, it comes in the food, don’t eat out or by the window and essentially tried to dismiss us.
It was not a pleasant experience, would not eat here again and definitely check your food before eating. Expect to wait a long time for the food, and hopefully they hire more servers/cooks. Reviews are not reflective of...
