Big Mommas Soul Food — Restaurant in Bradford West Gwillimbury

I gave this place another shot after complaining the portions were small before and being told by the owner he made a mistake and to come back. I was offered a free meal thst time which is why I went back again today to order dinner. The portion was so small and I ordered a LARGE. Also order an extra side of coleslaw and rice and it came in a small container and literally not even half full. I would say 1/4 full. And the coleslaw was so little that you could see the bottom of the small container. I was so upset but decided I wasn’t going to go back again instead of calling and complaining about the exact same issue. Also my meal did not even come with the coleslaw as advertised!! Was insane. Just won’t be going back. It’s a shame because the food is really good! Just can’t justify paying over $15 a plate when the so called large portion doesn’t even fill a medium...

This restaurant is amazing, and I highly recommend to everyone. It’s my favourite Bradford restaurant for sure. The food always tastes great and very authentically Jamacian, and reminds me of my families cooking. The atmosphere is so comfortable and fun too. You can tell the owner took time into making the atmosphere a great place. The owner is also a great guy and always takes the time to talk to his customers and is super friendly and funny. He’s recognized me and my boyfriend since the first time we came in there, and ever since he’s always remembered us and made us feel welcome always. I’ve brought my girlfriends and my mother in law here before and they also loved this place as well. I highly recommend this...

Food was delicious and spicy. But portions are extremely small for a "large". I ordered jerk chicken, curry chicken and chicken roti. All were delicious except the fact that it is not worth the portion size. Jerk chicken didn't even come with coleslaw. My curry chicken was all rice and maybe 1-2 tablespoons of curry chicken (I wish I had a picture to prove this, but read other reviews they say the same thing), also no coleslaw. And regarding the chicken roti, I've never had a stuffed roti that was flat, basically there was hardly any meat inside. Not worth the...
