Bombay Palace Restaurant And Banquets — Restaurant in Brampton

We hosted our baby shower function at Bombay palace in Brampton. I certainly recommend this place for any of your social gathering and/or functions. Would like to detail some inputs:

Venue: As it’s pandemic time, the guests and hosts have to be extra careful about safety guidelines. The venue was arranged in a manner which was abiding all social distancing protocols. So you as guests have to just enjoy your function and rest everything was taken care by the management.

Food: I have eaten in many restaurants but the food at Bombay Palace was top notch. The food was hot, delicious and fresh. They have expertise in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. It was too good that all my guests enjoyed each and every bite of it.

Service: When you go out for hosting or dining then along with food, service is one of the biggest factor for pleasant experience. I could not thank enough the courteous staff and superb service provided. The staff was very kind and offered starters multiple times along with main course. They were on constant look out for any needs of the guests and were happily assisting them. So another burden taken off from you as Hosts.

Experience: It was a very last minute decision of hosting the baby shower and I was surprised to see the arrangements done by Mr. Maprit (Owner) in ~ 2 days. He was too courteous and accommodating to all our needs. I would say Maprit did over an beyond in all aspects be it fitting within our budget; or adding more food items. He was available throughout our function and was continuously monitoring it to give us splendid experience.

Lastly I would say that for any banquet/restaurant it’s another function but for hosts it’s an life time event. Bombay palace staff and management acknowledges it and treats your function as one of their own. Hence, you get that warmth. I will certainly go aback for all my subsequent functions and highly recommend them. Just talk to Manprit before finalizing any other venue, I’m certain you will not be disappointed.

Review about restaurant. Went there on someone’s recommendation. I must say bad decision ever. Arrived there at around 7:30 and placed order for two dishes within ten mins of arrival. 40 mins after placing the order finally the appetizer chat papdi arrived which was really beyond average in taste not upto the mark at all but we were like maybe it’s a miss on this dish let’s wait for another one as it Already been 60 mins since we ordered. We still waited thinking it’s okay it must be coming and around same time we ordered drinks. Literally 30 mins more passed by and still our second dish is no where to be seen plus the drinks we ordered were also not there’s meanwhile I see ppl who came after us being served before us and all the tables are being served except for us to which I called the server and asked her about my order if it’s not ready she should cancel it as we had already waited enough and didn’t intend to wait more for food. To which she said it’s coming it’s ready and 5 mins after manager comes who says it’s delayed because tandoor isn’t ready we’ll if it isn’t ready how other tables are being served ? I didn’t create a scene as in my mind in knew this would be the first and last time visiting this place. Finally after 10 mins of more wait our barbecue paneer arrived which was okayish in taste not bad but the long wait made us so restless that we didn’t enjoy it. Technically they forgot our order but made lame excuse to us. The manager and staff did apologise to us but it didn’t really made any difference to us as our dinner night was ruined. This place and food are good, but unfortunetly the service from head office is the worst. I was so happy to book with them for my wedding, but right after booking we were introduced to Covid-19 where there was a world wide lockdown, no events were taking places anywhere. All vendors, other banquet halls, make up artist, dj, decor, clothing stores, artists, and much more gave the money back for downpayments without a word, saying its not a personal fault as it was world wide. But bombay palace refused to do so. They said we cant give the deposit back but come back and we will let you use it, we come back asking if we can do a event on restaurant side and they refused. Even though its the same owners for banquet hall and resturant they refused for us to hold a family lunch using that deposit. Which is not fair at all. Its everyones hard earned money that they want to not give back. If it was a personal reason i would let it go, but did we invent covid?? How does that work, why is it all vendors were willing to work out but Bombay Palace. At this point you are just stealing deposits for your own benefits. I dont even want the money back. But i want to make sure everyone is aware of what i went through. Bombay palace if you do read this review, please take my deposit and give it to any Gurdwara near you.
