At a potluck some family had bought kachori from here, and family had loved it. Decided to go and see myself if was good. Assumed the owners were Gujarati based on the menu, however they perhaps are from some other Northern Indian state. Vada Pav (5/5) is a quintessential from Western India particularly from Mumbai the $8 for hand helds are bit expensive. The taste however was very good. The vadas were freshly fried and super hot when ate outside on a bench immediately after. The chutneys good, but the essential is the red garlic chutney powdered seemed missing or was very little. It definitely worth the drive again for this. Kachori Chhat (4/6) with two kachoris and potato curry. Made it without yogurt to make it vegan. Overall good, but would have liked with chickpeas rather than the potatoes. Barfi Dhokla (1/5) - was a complete let down. Too dry, no flavour perhaps not even freshly made the same day. We took chutney for a buck and that didn’t help as well.

I picked up lots of food. A new customer, moved from BC. Couldn't open the door, because had lots of stuff in my hand. Used my back to open the door and noticed I couldn't move, something was holding me back. Looked for staff, but no one was at counter. Got help from another customer and fount out that their uber eats tag put 3 holes in my new expensive jacket. Talked with the staff later, she said owner isn't there. Coming to the food, it was good but very spicy. I ordered over the phone and was asked do you want it ready to eat or packed. I got confused and asked again, she repeated. I replied "ofcourse i need it ready to eat when I go home" thinking that 'Packed' option would mean half fry i.e. not ready to eat. Went home and noticed staff mixed kachori into the sabzi box and it was all soggy, not crispy anymore. Then I realized what 'ready to eat' meant was to pack kachori separately. I believe, staff could have been more detailed for a better experience.

I recently visited Kachori House that reminded me of my hometown's street food scene (Kota Kachori). The standout dish was their kachori, which brought back a wave of nostalgia. The taste of these kachoris was spot on, reminiscent of the famous Kota kachoris that are popular in Rajasthan. The crust was crispy, and the filling was well-spiced, making it a perfect snack to indulge in. However, the restaurant does have a few drawbacks. Firstly, there is no space for dining in the restaurant, which might disappoint customers who prefer to sit and enjoy their food. Additionally, the absence of complimentary chutney with kachoris was a slight letdown. Overall, if you're looking for a quick and tasty snack, this restaurant's kachori is a must-try. The authentic taste of the kachoris is bound to leave you satisfied and nostalgic. However, if you're looking for a place to sit down and enjoy your food, this might not be the ideal spot.

I am a Kachori lover and I have tried kachoris in few cities of India, but the only 2 cities where I found best kachoris are Dahod in Gujarat and Kota in Rajasthan. The dal kachori here at Kachori House is exactly like the one from Kota with a prominent taste of hing / asafoetida. I tried kachoris at many places in Canada as well but believe me you cannot find such good kachoris anywhere. The problem why most people are not able the make good kachoris is because making Kachori is an art. If you have experienced, even in India, most good halwais can't make good kachoris and cannot copy kachoris from popular places like kota. Most people will make kachoris which have thick layer of maida (which you need to pull with your teeth 😁), less masala with no good taste and oily over and above that and that's why you need chatni to eat that type of Kachori.

Here you will find a kachori which has a thin layer of maida (appropriately thick) which is not oily, has perfect texture and crispy enough. The masala is evenly spread all around having amazing taste, Even the alu pyaaz kachori is great. And the overall quality and consistency is such as if every kachori is made at home specially for you. I haven't tried other items about which I shall post when I try.

There are few reviews here which are cribbing about chatni and an extra cost for it and these are the people because of whom I couldn't discover this great place earlier. I will say that I haven't eaten such a chatni anywhere. It is exactly like we make at home with lot of imli plus khajoor and thats why the extra cost I believe as it is valuable and not the types which you garbage usually. Whenever I have samosas anywhere else, I just need to throw away the chatni because the red chatni is nothing else but sugar and water with some red chilly and color and the green chatni is always bitter .... I don't understand how people manage to make such bad chatnis.

And then there are few who say the taste of the kachori is not good enough. What?? What do you need? Maybe they say this because they are not satisfied with the price coz samosas are generally much cheaper or some other factor. Whatsoever, I can only say for such people that 'bandar kya jaane adrak ka swaad'.

Try here and you won't regret, infact, you will come again and again provided you know the swad...

I have had food from here earlier when my friends brought take out.

But my first time visit was a colorful.

We ordered ghughra. And it came like a samosa chaat but with ghughra. After we took the food, the representative told me to give google review.

Even though they had huge space in the store. We could not eat there because it was industrial area and they were not allowed to have seating or standing dine in tables which they had initially and had to remove later because of the restriction of the complex. (Rep told me this later)

The food was cold. Some of the pieces felt like just came out of the refrigerator. The taste of food was great but cold.

After having it, I thought I should go in and give rivew. I talked to the rep and explained about cold food. Told them that they could have refried or quickfried ghughra to make it taste better.

The representative (Hiralben) took my feed back and offered me to give another one. I was in hurry and going to dinner at someone's place. I told her I am already going for a dinner, but she insisted and mentioned that she will feel bad if I go out without having proper well served food.

Then we tried complimentary both types of kachoris.

It was warm delicious. I just loved the costumer service. Even though they are there to make business, I just felt like they are there to treat the costumer at the best. They are feeding the hungry costumer till they are full and satisfied and not running a business for money.

I would definitely go here again and...

Disappointing Experience – Poor Customer Service and Price Miscommunication

I recently placed an order for 6 lbs of Fulvadi at $7 per lb, but when I went to pick it up two days later, I was shocked to find the price had doubled to $14 per lb without any prior notice. I confirmed 4 to 5 times pricing before confirming the order. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since I had confirmed the price when I placed the order. It felt like a bait-and-switch, and I felt completely misled.

To make matters worse, when I asked to speak with the person in charge, I was told she was busy in the backroom and wouldn’t be available. I was left feeling dismissed and ignored. That said, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. Poor communication and lack of courtesy from management ruined what should have been a simple transaction. I would not recommend this place based on my experience, and I hope they take this feedback seriously to improve their customer service and pricing transparency.

Would not recommend anyone to buy anything. Stand up to show the power of unity and...
