August 31st - Bed not made & cleaning lady rude behavior||||Hello,||||This is a formal complaint to the General Manager & Owner ||||Attached are the photos of the state of my room when I returned from the hospital||||Cleaning lady said she did make the bed, I showed Rose the house keeping manager & she agreed the bed was not made||||The cleaning lady was giving me dirty looks and kept saying I was lying & the manager only told her to stop||||Attached are the photos and I'm still waiting for a Manager..Kimberly is busy and I'm here sitting at my door waiting for the matter to be addressed||||I'm posting this experience on all of Social Media and will never return to this location.||||Guest Services- Maria, Natalie, Melinda, & Mansi have been polite & made my stay stress free. Management should take notes from them.||||Tuesday, September 05th 2023 woke up to a fire alarm at 4:45 am. The most traumatic experience. There was a fire on the 6th floor. The floor I was staying on since August 14th when I first checked in. Everyone had to evacuate the building. When I exited my room with only my purse & phone I saw smoke at the end of the hallway close to the exit sign. The next door guests husband & wife were with me trying to get to the stairs to exit the building safely. We had to rush to the opposite end of the hallway to get to the stairs & exited the hotel safely. The fire trucks arrived shortly after & everyone was outside in shock. The firemen put out the smoke & around 6am we were able to re-enter the hotel. Everyone on the 6th floor checked out and were also traumatized. I had to wait to check out because my right hand is broken. I have a cast on my arm and had to wait for my daughter to come help me pack.||||No one from Management explained what was the cause of the fire or apologized for the inconvenience we experienced. I had to demand and explanation from the General Manager Yosh & he advised is a non empathetic manner that someone was smoking in the staircase on the 6th floor and this has happened before & whoever was smoking has been banned from the Hotel & got a $2,500 fine. He disregarded my concerns of the trauma I experienced. Walking up to a fire alarm at 4:45am. Not knowing how serious the fire was & if I could evacuate safely and see my daughter & family again. No apologies was given or any empathy or compensation for the trauma I and the other guests on the 6th floor experienced. Horrible terrifying experience & I'll never return to this particular Courtyard Marriott (Brampton) location ever again. I have videos of the after math & how poorly Guest Services Front desk staff treated me; however I will not post it as I've been...

Absolutely our worst hotel experience ever. After returning from dinner my family and I wanted to sleep as we had a full day of travel in the morning. Our room was on the 6th floor, top of hotel. Laying in bed was extremely loud like a freight train. I spoke with Talvinder at the front desk who treated me as if I was lying about the sound and insisted on going up to the room to listen. Upon arrival to the room together we continued to hear the loud noise. Talvinder stated it was a maintenance issue from a rooftop air conditioner making the loud noise. Within minutes security staff Yaman arrived to the room for no known reason. The two employees were speaking together in an unknown language and laughing. Talvinder stepped out to call the supervisor Mansi, he returned stating he would issue a full refund and I would need to discuss the issue with Kim the manager in the morning. He stated that he could not do anything else to help with getting a good night sleep as all the area hotels were sold out on a Saturday night. I asked for contact information for the general manager and they refused to provide contact information. In the morning I inquired about speaking with manager Kim and was told she was not available at the property but she would call by 12 noon when she arrived. I never received a call from manager Kim. Supervisor Mansi did call at 7:30pm refusing to provide the refund and tried to offer Marriott points as compensation for the terrible experience. I asked for the refund which I was promised and Mansi stated that she would need to discuss with management before calling me back. I never received a call back. I did call and ask for manager Kim who was absolutely rude and just wanted to speak over me without hearing about the situation. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior from any Marriott. I would give the property zero stars if possible. If visiting the Toronto/ Brampton area I would strongly suggest avoiding this property at all cost. I did reach out with Marriott corporate to discuss awareness of this situation and hope that improvements are made. This property should not be allowed to operate under any...

If I could give a negative review, I would. I stayed here while traveling for work. During my first night I found bedbugs in my room. The negative review is not so much for that, though that would be a good reason, but the way it was handled after the discovery. I found a full-grown, live bedbug crawling across my chest while in bed. I immediately put it in a cup and contacted the front desk. The manager inspected the bug then flushed it down the commode. In my frustration, I did not get a photo before it was flushed. While packing to leave, I also found the shell from where one had molted and another half-grown bedbug between the mattresses. Once I contacted my company, I discovered another coworker had the same issue. When my company reached out to the hotel, they flat out lied, saying they did not find bugs when the initial complaint was given but "treated the room for bugs" then proceeded to put me in the same room. Then they proceeded to say I found a dead insect or fly due to the "treatment" they did. I do not think they gave the room an extra thorough cleaning, much less treated for any type of insect. My room was not spotless as you would expect it would be after a thorough cleaning as they said they did, and there was no commotion the following day to indicate they treated the room the following day after my incident either. To the hotel manager that came to my room that night, I didn't get a picture of the "dead insect" as you called it but I did get the picture of the second one I found while packing up to leave and hope you use the attached picture to learn not only what a bedbug but also a "dead insect" as you called it really looks like. I truly hope your negligence to clean facilities and good customer service does not result in an infestation at my home or the home of any of your other guests. This has been a truly appalling visit for me, not only because I found bedbugs in my room but because you accused me of lying about it as well. This is not only a mark against you but a mark against Marriott as well.
