Restaurant Review: Lazeez Shawarma
If you're craving authentic, flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine in a laid-back yet vibrant setting, Lazeez Shawarma is the place to be. Known for its generous portions and mouth-watering shawarma, this spot has quickly become a local favorite for those who appreciate a good, hearty meal.
Lazeez Shawarma's menu is simple but offers a variety of options that will satisfy any craving. The shawarma itself is the star of the show—whether you go for the chicken or beef, the meat is tender, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully charred. It’s wrapped in a fresh, soft pita with a variety of toppings, including crunchy pickles, fresh tomatoes, and a garlicky tahini sauce that brings it all together. If you're feeling adventurous, the "Lazeez Special" is a must-try—a shawarma wrap loaded with extra toppings and a hint of spicy sauce that adds just the right amount of heat.
For those seeking a lighter option, the falafel is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, packed with flavor. The hummus and baba ganoush are both creamy and vibrant, making for the perfect sides to complement your main dish. And don’t forget the freshly baked pita, which is warm, soft, and perfect for scooping up every last bit of dip.
Lazeez Shawarma also offers a variety of refreshing drinks, from fresh-squeezed juices to traditional Arabic beverages, which pair well with the bold flavors of the food.

Read moreI am a regular customer and I notice on Wednesdays there is a couple of employees who are different from the others on other days. They don’t even want to put chicken in the wraps or the rice with chicken meals. They are so stingy to use veggies and even after repeatedly asking to make sure they added something I wanted, they didn’t even try to add a new piece of the veggie ‘such as an extra onion’. They also look at people so strangely and don’t want to give food for the money that’s being paid. What will I do with all the extra rice if there is not enough chicken to eat it with? This is an ongoing problem ever since management changed about a year back. And especially certain employees don’t want to give more food for the price being paid. It’s not cheap food. Even for regular customers, there’s no customer service. We are seen as aliens if asking for more or even if we are watching them put the food on the container. They throw so much rice and sauce in there, why not...
Read moreI recently had one of the best shawarma experiences at Lazeez Shawarma, and I felt it deserved recognition. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed with a warm smile and quick service. The place was clean, the staff was courteous, and the food was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked.
I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, and it was packed with juicy, well-seasoned meat, crunchy vegetables, and just the right amount of garlic sauce. The spice level was perfect, and the wrap held together nicely — not too soggy, not too dry. Their signature Lazeez sauce added a unique kick that set it apart from any other shawarma I’ve had.
What made it special was not just the food, but how the team went above and beyond to make sure everything was to my liking. They were patient with customizations and served the meal with genuine hospitality.
Definitely a five-star experience — I’ll be coming back again soon, and I’d recommend Lazeez to anyone who loves authentic, hearty Middle...
