Review of Love south Restaurant in Brampton

If you're craving authentic South Indian flavors with a twist, Love south in Brampton is a place to consider. Known for its creative takes on traditional Indian dishes, this restaurant offers a variety of dosas, idlis, vadas, and other classic dishes that are perfect for anyone looking to satisfy their South Indian food cravings.

  1. Mysore Masala Dosa The Mysore Masala Dosa at Love Dosa stands out as one of their most popular items. The dosa itself is crispy and perfectly golden-brown, with a deliciously spiced potato filling that adds the right amount of heat. What sets it apart from a regular masala dosa is the generous smear of spicy Mysore chutney inside the dosa, which adds an extra layer of flavor without overpowering the dish. The dosa is served with a side of coconut chutney and sambar, both of which complement the dosa wonderfully. Overall, it's a flavorful and satisfying dish that captures the essence of South Indian street food.

  2. Pav Bhaji Dosa For something a bit more experimental, the Pav Bhaji Dosa is a unique fusion dish that combines the best of two worlds: the crispy dosa and the rich, flavorful pav bhaji. The dosa is topped with a spicy, buttery pav bhaji mixture and served with the usual accompaniments like chutneys and sambar. The flavors are bold and savory, making it an intriguing option for those who enjoy both traditional dosas and the vibrant street food of Mumbai. The combination of textures—crispy dosa with the soft, spiced pav bhaji—is an interesting twist on the classic dosa.

  3. Idli Vada Combo The Idli Vada Combo is another excellent choice for those looking for a more traditional South Indian meal. The idlis are soft, fluffy, and perfectly steamed, with just the right amount of sponginess. Paired with a crispy and flavorful vada, this combo provides a satisfying meal. The vada is crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and pairs perfectly with the coconut chutney and sambar. The chutney is fresh and flavorful, and the sambar is tangy and mildly spicy, adding a nice contrast to the idli and vada.

Ambience & Service The ambiance of Love Dosa is casual and welcoming, with a cozy atmosphere that's ideal for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends or family. The restaurant has a modern yet traditional vibe, with warm colors and simple decor that feels comfortable and inviting.

The service is generally prompt, and the staff Aman was friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable dining experience. The food is typically prepared fresh, and it’s evident that the restaurant takes care in crafting each dish with attention to detail.

Portion Size & Value for Money The portion sizes at Love Dosa are quite generous, and the prices are reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food you get. You’re likely to leave feeling satisfied without feeling like you’ve overpaid, making it a great spot for those looking for value for money.

Overall Rating Food Quality: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Value for...

I’ve been a regular at Brar’s, but my recent experience has been deeply disheartening. Prior to my visit, the online waitlist indicated no waiting time, but upon arrival, I was told there would be an hour’s wait . This discrepancy between online information and actual wait times is misleading and feels like an unethical way to attract customers.

The service was painfully slow. It took nearly 40 minutes for our meal to arrive, with the staff appearing to prioritize a steady stream of online orders over in-house guests. This neglect towards dine-in customers was unexpected and frustrating.

Equally concerning was the food quality. I was shocked to find a sticker still on the vegetables in my dish, raising serious health and hygiene questions.

On the brighter side, the staff deserves recognition for their friendliness and hard work, earning a 10/10 for customer service. When inquiring about the delay, they shared they had been working since early morning, suggesting the issue might lie with the management’s oversight rather than the staff’s dedication.

Another worrying thing is that it seems like the management isn’t paying attention to customer feedback. I noticed several reviews pointing out the same issues, but there hasn’t been any improvement.

Brar’s risks falling off the radar, especially with several promising new restaurants opening in the area. I hope the management takes notice of these issues before...
