Been here three times and have not been treated poorly by the Managers until today. I originally made a reservation for 15 people. I then called on Friday to update them that I would now have 27 people come, the girl just said thanks and hung up on me. I assumed it would be fine. A manager named Michelle called me Sunday afternoon 6 hours before the event to tell me that after 25 people they cut the menu to a reduce menu and all meals would be on one bill. I asked if they could at least make an exception since they didn't tell me this originally when I called to up the number of guest and her response was she could have the evening manager call me at 4pm but until then that's the restaurant policy. I informed her that I would reduce the numbers to 15 again. I had another guest call to book another 15 and they flat said no, my friend told them specifically that they were associated with me and they should try to accommodate for giving us last minute notice about the bill, we were very willing to have a reduced menu. The manager's response was the computer system doesn't allow it. Then after 12 minutes of being on hold they agreed to have our other half seated if we had the group come either 30 minutes before or after. We chose after. When I arrived I wanted to ask the manager if they would like to keep the reduced menu seeing that both groups make up 30 at this point. She told me that the policy is that when there is 15 people it's a full menu. She also questioned why we staggered the group and why we didn't tell the restaurant that we were together and she said her assistant didn't say that. They arranged the second group on the other side of the restaurant even though we specifically told the manager on the phone that we were together. Then when the guests were complaining the evening manager told the guests that we misinformed them and we never said we were together. It's bad customer service when the manager embrasses you and accuses you of misinforming them when you were clear and honest and willing to accommodate with the menu. Our guests are aware and all 30 of them including myself will not be returning to this restaurant. The Lionhead golf course on Mississauga Rd. have staff that are kind, they don't have policies and their menu is awesome,...
Read moreWe hosted my baby shower at the Nine18 Restaurant on February 2nd, 2025. I really liked how the venue had an events package available with pricing online, so that we could look at the menu options and pricing ahead of having any discussions. Once we narrowed down the buffet choices and pricing we were looking for, we reached out to Krista, the event coordinator via email to ask questions and set up a consultation meeting. I really liked the location of the venue as it was central to many of our guests, especially with unpredictable winter weather. Krista was great with communication, responding promptly at all times. Often times I would email with a list of questions, and she would ensure she answered every one of them. We were also able to customize the buffet option we liked to get it more within the budget we desired. Krista coordinated with us and the chef to get us to a menu and price that we all approved of. The restaurant itself is spacious. We hosted approx. 70 adults, and it was the right amount of space. Krista sent us a seating plan 10 days out, which we were able to adjust to our liking. She was also flexible on when we could come in to set up décor and other items prior to the event.
On the day of the event, the food was delicious, we received many compliments from the guests on how delicious it was. The service was also AMAZING! Since I was busy with the baby shower, my interactions were the staff were minimal on the day of the event. However, my direct family had nothing but positive comments about how gracious the staff was. I appreciated Krista coming out to provide me a non-alcoholic champagne, it was such a nice touch. The staff helped the atmosphere feel very welcoming.
Overall, I would highly recommend this venue to host events. When hosting events such as bridal and baby showers, it is difficult to find a nice venue that ALSO serves food. Usually you have to cater from outside. The fact that this venue provided meals within a reasonable price really took away much of the stress of...
Read moreI went to Nine18 at Turnberry Golf Club last Friday evening with a friend, and it was quite an experience. Their patio is always in high demand — and for good reason. The views at sunset are absolutely stunning and truly worth it.
We arrived around 6:10 PM, when the restaurant wasn’t too busy. However, we were told the patio was reserved for guests who had booked by phone (reservations aren’t available on OpenTable). We decided to wait for a patio spot while ordering drinks. I had the Turnberry Sunset and my friend ordered the Blueberry Lemonade — both cocktails were fantastic: refreshing, well-balanced, and perfect for the evening.
A big shoutout goes to our server India, who went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good time while waiting. Even though it took nearly an hour (we were finally seated around 7:15–7:30), she kept checking in and made us feel welcome. The funny part? The table we were eventually given had actually been vacant since we arrived — so it’s unclear why it wasn’t offered earlier. On the flip side, one of the other servers wasn’t as friendly, but India more than made up for it with her warm and attentive service.
Once seated, the patio delivered exactly what we were waiting for — breathtaking views of the golf course, serene atmosphere, and a picture-perfect sunset. Truly a 10/10 setting.
For food, we ordered the loaded nachos (always a crowd-pleaser) and the Mediterranean pasta, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. India continued to check in, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves throughout the meal.
Overall, I’d highly recommend Nine18 if you’re looking for great cocktails, delicious food, and unbeatable sunset views. Just make sure to call ahead for a patio reservation to avoid the wait. With a bit more consistency in seating management, this place could easily be a...
