It opens on specific days, hours. Really worth to visit specifically with kids/teens (free entry, parking). It is a historic site which is run by volunteers and city’s help (you can donate a bit) , a gem within Brampton’s residential layouts, full with history of pre-Canada (dominion) and quick view on how life was there then (in 1800s) plus Brampton’s own history.
